A-Pours a deep, slightly hazy orangish, amber body with a one inch crown of determined, snow white foam that left nice clingy rings of lacing.
S-Smells of hearty wheat,jammy citrus,fresh grass,wildflower honey,dried cherry,golden raisin and brown sugar.
T-Sweetened wheat cereal, tart cherry, blonde tobacco,a blend of herbal/citric hop bitterness, roasted almond and a slight note of good bourbon.
M-Medium body with a well-developed sweetness that is balanced by earthy/bitter hops.Maybe just one note from being spot on.
O-Seriously good example of the style. Some of this is currently aging in Bourbon barrels at The Wine and Cheese Place and I can't wait.

Bought this bottle at the brewery last month. I really enjoyed my visit to the brewery. Opened this one for Easter.
Poured into a tulip glass. Clear mahogany brown color with brief beige head and little lacing. Warm, boozy smell and taste. Caramel and toffee with vanilla and a bit of cherries. The taste is definitely the best part of the beer. Hoping it goes well with ham!

Bottled 9/2013
Pours a clear deep red with minimal head. Smell of slight sherry/oxidation, vanilla, caramelized sugar, cherries, clover honey, raisins. Tastes very yeast/wheat forward. Mid ester profile with significant booze present, flaked wheat, caramel, honey, vanilla to match. Mouthfeel is thick, low carbonation with a slight astringency. Overall, this is a solid strong ale. There's some solid complexity in smell and taste, but some slightly harsh booze/oxidation tones (potentially from the age) take it down a notch from being great.

750 ml bottle from 9/2013. 10% abv.
L: pours dark honey to amber color. head fades fast but lots of lace.
S: booze, raisin, caramel, honey, wheat.
T: vanilla, toffee, wheat. sweetness dissipates nicely, touch of white grape near the close.
M: thick and creamy, light carbonation, very smooth and drinkable.
my first try with this style, but can't help to think that this benefited from some aging time as i found it far from boring or simple as some did.
