Look: Motor oil black with nearly no head, like a very thing khaki head
Smell: strong chili and cinnamon, not much else
Taste: big cinnamon and chili front with a smooth chocolate and malt finish
Feel: stupidly smooth, medium body, little carbonation, light heat at the end... stupidly drinkable
Overall: outstanding beer... not huna though

Deep black pour, used motor oil, midnight black, all those usual descriptors, 1/3" tan head on it, small bubbles. Aroma heavy on the roast, a mild amount of peppers and cinnamon on top of it, you've had this beer before in other regions, Stone, Cigar City etc. . .

Taste, good hits with the roast first and foremost, not acrid, not overly sweet, brings the heat pepper wise but with enough two row and black roasted malt to hold its own and not let the spice dominate. Cinnamon in a decent proportion in the mouth feel. Really one of those midwest pour kinds of beers, after around 4oz I'm kind of hitting the point of diminishing returns. A share beer.

Carbonation well done and subdued to allow for different adjuncts to come out. Alcohol noticeable, but not soul crushing. Decent chocolate and cocoa presence.

A good beer, but plenty of easier, more accessible beers doing the same thing as this one.

Finally got to tick the mighty Abraxas! Damn does this thing glug into your glass - it's dark as night and smells fantastic. It is a great stout, but honestly the flavors came through a bit subdued compared to was I was expecting. Still wouldn't ever turn one down though...

Meets expectations. Huge body, pours like motor oil. Flavor is bursting with spices in a great way. Somewhat sweet but not overwhelming. Overall an excellent Christmas time stout

Abraxas 2015 on tap @ Sovereign in Plainfield 12/9/16
A - Pours black with a small tan head.
S - Aroma is not strong but it's mostly cinnamon.
T - Flavor is a wonderfully perfect balance of cinnamon and chocolate with just a touch of pepper flavor and heat on finish.
M - Mouth feel is smooth & creamy, kinda thick, low carbonation.
O - Darn near perfect adjunct stout.

Best year yet. Seems to be a little cinnamon heavy fresh, but I'm sure it will die down a bit. Thick, great flavors, spice is in the background on this version.
