Stopped in for a sampler. Was very impressed with the beer, beyond my expections for a place I heard so little about. Service was also impressive, as I even was offered a free sample of a local whiskey I wished I would have written down. Selection was also good and it was obvious that this was a go to place for beer geeks in St. Louis. The building seemed to be new, very clean and other patrons also were very enjoyable in conversation. If I'm back in the area, this place is a must. I did not try any food, for afterward I wanted to make the trek to Iron Barley's. My only mark is it seemed near some sketchy neighborhoods, although that might just be me.

Very nice place both inside and on the patio. Was able to be there on an beautiful day. The release was the smoothest I have been too.

My buddy and I visited Perennial during Abraxas release week.

The brewery itself looks very different from most places. It's a building that looks like it was used as a meat-packing plant previously (was actually a coca-cola bottling facility).

The vibe on the day we went was obviously different from most, as it was packed with non-regulars who were there for the Abraxas release and bottle pick-up (next door, separate from the tap room). But even with that in mind, it was full of beer aficionados who wanted to talk about beer.. so by no means a bad vibe. The quality of the place wasn't bad. Nice and clean. But there was no significant artwork in the place, or any kind of unique quality. Normally, I like to take photos of the breweries or tap rooms that I visit but I didn't feel compelled to do so at all at this location so I didn't. Otherwise, there was plenty of seating, inside and outside (picnic tables) which was nice.

The service was good and the bartenders were willing to talk with you if you had any questions. We were seated at the bar so there was absolutely no problem getting pours even with a busy crowd. But the selection was a bit of a miss for me. Yes there was Abraxas on draft and one variant (Vanilla Bean Abraxas), but that there were only 4-5 other Belgian PA/IPAs available. A few bottles were available for consumption on premesis, but only BA Perennial 17 stood out (at $40/bottle). I didn't feel compelled to order anything but the two Abraxas that were available. Merch wise, only various shirts were available, but saw no glasses or anything else.

The establishment does not serve food but there is a food truck outside, so that is always available if looking to eat. And it's a good thing that the food trucks are there because there really isn't anything else around in the near vicinity.

Overall, I can't help but feel a bit disappointed. Not that the place was bad or anything, but I just expected a bit more, especially when compared to Side Project which we just came from prior to the Abraxas release. Side Project is a must visit. Perennial would definitely be a second priority to SP if I was visiting St.Louis.

so stoked to finally check this place out, these guys have been near the top of my list since i had my first beer from them way back when (not all that long ago i guess in the grand scheme, but still...). great space they have here, just outside of downtown proper, with a huge outdoor area with picnic tables (and not much shade), an expansive inside area too with a long bar, and some little isolated sitting areas, brewing in the back to the right, lots of fermentation space, but this was overall much smaller than i expected it to be. sometimes it seems in my head like the places have to be huge or something because they are famous, or at least famous to me, but this is pretty humble, nice as it is. smaller tap list than i hoped for, less new beers to me, less tap room only kind of stuff than i wanted to discover, but we had some great beers here, but thats to be expected. almost everything these guys make is amazing, and it seems to be changinf and expanding all the time, which is one of the reasons i love them in the first place. service could not be better, so friendly and welcoming, happy to give us personal attention, and generous on the sampling. i love it here, and will absolutely be back. no doubt that perennial is making some of the best beers in missouri and the midwest, if not the country and the world! i mean it!

Loved the secretive location in the loading dock. The staff was great and helped us choose different beers based on our personal preferences. Best beer in St. Louis.

Perennial is a must if you're in the St. Louis area. The beer selection is fantastic and the service is top notch. They always have something amazing coming out of the kitchen and the brewery. If you can make it down to a release you should! The people are fantastic and so is the bottle sharing.

Located in the bottom floor of some loft apartments in an out of the way part of town, the taproom is pleasant, but surprisingly bland. It is tasteful, but in a way that is reminiscent of a page from a restoration hardware catalogue, my wife said it looked like Martha Stewart was the interior decorator. The service was good, we just ordered at the bar and didn't try any food. The beer, is excellent, honestly my favorite stop in St Louis, even over Side Project. Selection was quite good, with a good representative variety of their beer on tap. Overall it is someplace you absolutely must visit if you have the chance.

A nice spot to visit.

Even on a Friday afternoon close to 5 the place was mellow and people were just hanging out. The selection on tap was pretty much what you'll find in stores, which is always a bit disappointing, but at least everything they offer is good and for me, not easily obtainable in New Mexico.

There were bottles available for on-site consumption and if I'd stayed around that would have been the move.

Service was friendly and they gave good advice on how to get to a Cards game.

Vibe is meh. Wide open space feels emptyish. Few board games, darts, lame sofa, no TVs in one of the country's best sports towns, nice patio... that's it.
Quality is great. Never a bad beer here, but sometimes a bit one-dimensional, messy on busy days, awkward water service.
I'd like better service. Different staff members provide different levels of service and attitude. Slow on a good day.
Selection is weak. Rarely a hoppy offering. Rarely a big-ticket beer. Weekly test batches are cool, but I'd like to see more marquee offerings more often.
Food is great, selection is small.

Great patio space outside. Board games and metal dartboard inside. Good selection of tasty beers with the option to buy bombers. We had the pretzels with the awesome beer mustard.
