"Coastal Evacuation:" a phrase common at the Jersey Shore. Hurricane season hits hard, and we're hitting back with a Double IPA with copious amounts of Centennial hops, able to withstand the storm. It's time to evacuate - are you prepared?

It's a DIPA and one that doesn't hide the punch all that well. This one lacks the juiciness and is overmatched by flatness and bitterness. Too many better DIPAs and other IPAs from Cape May themselves to spend much time on this one.

12 oz can. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is full and crisp. Herbal hops dominate the palate with bready malt and tropical fruit in the background. Finish is long and dry. Nice brew.

Very fresh tasting beer with a pleasant hops aroma and bitter aftertaste
As a west-coast style, it is too cloudy.
Overall, it is a good price value for a very decent double IPA

Pours a somewhat hazy pale straw color with over a finger of fluffy head. The nose has notes of citrus and pine. The flavor follows the nose with some nice bitterness on the finish.
There's a background alcohol bite that infirms you this is a high ABV beer. But it's nothing cidery or off-putting.

Poured from a 12 oz. can into a Samuel Smith Imperial pint glass. Uneven frothy white head with loads of lacing, hazy dull straw in color. Citrus aroma with subdued floral and malty notes. Mouth is bitter up front with some roundness and hints of sweetness in the middle with a nice bitter finish that lingers. A good solid brew from Cape May. A go to when I can't find anything else of interest.

It was free. It tasted like I licked a salt block.
