16 oz can poured into a snifter.
Appearance
Golden blonde. Moderate haze. Yeast sediment. 1 finger of white head.
Nose
Licorice, raisin, plum, anise, and vanilla.
Taste
Licorice, toffee, vanilla, white chocolate, and saltwater taffy. Light roast coffee and cream. Extra cream. Slight raisin, plum, and anise.
Mouthfeel
Medium bodied, crisp, sweet, and smooth.
Overall
It doesn't strike me as having stout flavors, buuuuuut it's a sweet Cream Ale that kind of makes me thing of egg nog and Christmas. Yeah, make an egg nog version of this please!

Had to try it ...!! I was happy I did ! the smell of vanilla, cocoa, and coffee married very well together. The ABV was not noticeable giving it a nice mouth appeal. The lactose gives it a great creamy taste ...and ...' ITS A WHITE STOUT '!!

How do they make a pale beer taste like a stout? Confusing but funny. It tastes good but ultimately too sweet. Notes of coffee with vanilla bean plus chocolate.

Had this from a can.
A: pours a straw yellow body with Holden hues with a white head with nice retention and lacing.
S: creamy, coffee notes; hints of oats
T: sweet, vanilla coffee notes with some hints of a butter toffee finish
M: medium bodied and fairly smooth; creamy
O: solid overall beer; well balanced; hints of coffee with the sweet vanilla notes is excellent.

Poured a pint can into a clear Imperial pint glass and discovered a golden amber brew with a small but durable white head. The aroma is not a familiar one, although some vanilla, starch and hops can be detected. The glass lacing is minimal. The taste is malty sweet, with hints of vanilla, coffee and cocoa. None of the tastes dominate, so the balance is good. The coffee probably assists flipping the sweetness to a more bitter finish, with some hops, at the end. Nothing offensive in this one which provides a diverse taste sensation. The 8.5% ABV is barely noticed

I came home from rolling with my best friends, put on some music (not the Eagles) and found out that someone peed on my fuckin' rug, man. However, they did leave behind a four pack that tied the room together. Of course, the Dude abides. So, I cracked one open.
I certainly does not look like a stout. But, looks, man, can, like be deceiving. The smell, man, is the best part - some chocolate and some vanilla. The taste is only slightly reminiscent of a White Russian,, which is my favorite drink, man.

9th Review. This startled me but was well made craft at first, but at half way, it's too flavored, too sweet, too thin to finish. I'll save for maybe a night cap tomorrow.
a) Loses its head. too fast for a stout, hazed unfiltered bronze body, no visible carb.
s) Interesting with the candy sweetness tempered by smokiness.
t) Falls apart of a few sips for being too sweet, too candied, and the smokiness is a bit rancid after a while.
f) Thinner than I like my stouts.
o) Fail and I'm sorry I bought it.

Beer is a gift from my brother. Thanks Bro!
Got it in January and its been in my fridge since then. Pouring cold into my trusty snifter.
The beer pours a fairly clear copper to peach color with very minimal bleached white head foaming up and fading quickly to a sturdy edge layer. One glug of sediment comes towards the end of the pour, which I wasnt expecting, so that clouded up my beer a little.
Aroma is malty and sweet with some milk chocolate and some light roasted notes and a good hefty nose of vanilla. I dont get any hint of hop character nor the ABV either. I still get thrown off by these golden stouts.
The first sip reveals a medium body with fine and tingly carbonation. The texture is pretty smooth and the beer drinks easy.
Flavor is what the nose, not the eyes predict. I get milk chocolate and some light roasted notes with a bit of coffee ground and then a punch of vanilla on the finish. Pretty sweet lingering note of vanilla, no hops, no ABV hints here.
This is a drinkable brew and the golden stout thing is always pretty interesting to me. Glad I tried this one, it is good, but not mind blowing, and definitely on the sweeter side of things.

Happy New CANned Collab Beer Sunday (Week 770) as I try to get out from under the backlog here at Chez Woody. It is a real boon for The CANQuest (tm), but I have pretty much stopped buying more beer for the meantime.
From the CAN: "White Cream Stout"; "In Cahoots With"; "Obviously. You're not a golfer."; "There's a beverage here, man."; "Brewed with Coffee Beans[,] Cocoa Nibs[,] Lactose [&] Vanilla"; "Unfiltered Keep Cold".
I knew what I was getting into so once I had the vent Crack!ed open, I went with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. My goal was to maintain clarity & I was enormously successful in the endeavor. It foamed up to form just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with moderate retention. Color was a gorgeous solid Gold (SRM = 5) with NE-quality clarity, summoning forth The Gelt Gang of Midas, Mammon & Croesus for a taste. It may have looked great, like liquefied sunshine in my glass on a dreary Fall day that saw snow fall for the first time this season, but it was totally out of spec for the style. Nose was rich with coffee, chocolate & vanilla & while my Glug may have held the lactose in check, I did not mind its absence. Mouthfeel was medium, but I would have preferred a bit more creaminess since it included Lactose. The taste was WAY sweet! The chocolate and vanilla flavors really paved the way with the coffee bringing up the rear. Phew. I have had some sweet ones in the style before, but this was REALLY sweet. This made my bitter hophead self begin to itch & wonder if it might not lead to the onset of diabetes! Phew. I liked it just fine, but as at least one other reviewer mentioned, this was a real one & done for me. Finish remained sweet & that is fine, but it just was not my cuppa. YMMV.
