a: Clear, sort of coppery golden; pours with a medium sized fizzy head.

s: Sugary for sure, some yeasty fruit and a touch of pepper. Very well disguised abv.

t: Pretty sweet up front, in a sugary way. Some fruity phenols and clove before a sugary finish.

m: Kinda thin for the abv.

o: A bit sweet but not bad overall. Reasonably priced I believe

Picked this up at Circle Liquor in Somers Point.

Poured in to a Belgian glass, this brew is reminiscent of an American Pilsner. Pale Yellow, but with some orange tones. Minimal one finger head, no cap, slight lacing.

The smell is distinctly Belgian. Big, strong yeast punch, bready, nutty, huge spices. Slightly fruity.

I feel the big beer is the first sip, taste the Belgian in the backend, and come back for more to be greeted with a crisp and clean Ardennes Belgian. Pepper, fruit, orange, grapefruit, and apricot, spices that remind me of warm apple cider, this is a beast of a beer. Really good job by CMB.

a cloudy orange-yellow with a finger of bright white head. smells of belgian yeast strain, slightly hoppy, sweet pilsner malt, mustard seed. the flavor is much like the aroma.. mustard seed, lots of bready sweetness pilsner style malt, grassy hops, belgian saison style yeast, peppery. lightly carbonated, medium body - served cold is one of the most refreshing beers i've ever had .. and you can in no way tell this is a strong booze heavy beer.. drinks like a 5-6% not 8%+

truly a great take on this (to me) bland style of beer. somehow a heavy beer doesn't fit the summer profile, but this beer has summer written all over it, and again - does not in any way feel like a heavy beer.

A: Pours a pale unflitered yellow color with minimal head. Head retention is minimal and there is minimal lacing.

S: Citrus and spicy aroma.

T: Grapefruit and orange up front with farm spices on the back. Tastes like a strong Saison - really good.

M: Somewhat lacking carbonation but still good.

O: Great brew - and a good balance for flavor on a hot day.
