Tulip glass at House Wine bar
A- muddy tealike with minimal head

S-slight raisin, fig and fruit

T-underwhelmingly rich caramel and spicy

M-thinish with a nice buttery tone

O- it really does mask the ABV only mild heat on the backend, lacks robust complexity

First time tasting this highly rated example didnt blow me away
Other top rated brews often live up to their billing but high expectations were deflated

Pours hazy dark brown with a huge 2 inch eggshell head that settles to a nice film on top and leaves heavy strings of lace. A steady stream of tiny bubbles rise from the bottom of the glass during the drink down. Absolutely gorgeous.

The smell is of earthy, musty yeast and bready malt up front with fruity accents on the back end: figs, dates and apricots.

Taste is of roasted malt, caramel/molasses sweetness, figs and dates up front with a biscuity breadiness on the finish.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, almost creamy with a high level of carbonation.

The finest looking beer I've experienced but, this one delivers on all cylinders. Inviting aroma, impressive flavors and satisfying mouthfeel. World class.

A- Dark orange. Thick creamy head, lasts quite well, good bit of lacing.
S- Complex caramel, toast, and a good bit of fruit. Specifically there is apricot, peach and a bit of plum.
T- Very, very complex. Caramel, yeast, toast, fruit, and alcohol heat. Starts pretty sweet, but quickly goes into complex flavors with some chocolate. There is just a faint wisp of smoke. Finish is a bit boozy. If I had any criticism of this beer, it is that this boozy finish is just a touch aggressive.
M- Really full body. Smooth. Again, only criticism is it just a bit hot.
O- A top class beer. Glad I finally got a chance to drink this one. Definitely a must try for the beer fan.
