A: Deep brown/red without being fully opaque, fluffy beige head
S: Warm, malt and grain, alcoholic bite, inviting
T: A true liquid bread. Deeply malty, yeasty with unavoidable alcohol undertone, a tinge of bitterness. If not for the alcohol, this would be perfect.
M: Again, liquid bread, whole, rich but not thick, smooth, that hint of alcoholic bite
O: Truly phenomenal. As alluded above, if it weren't for the intrusion of the 10% abv, this would be a perfect beer. Nonetheless, one of the greats.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a Duvel tulip. Beer aged for approximately 1 year.

A - Pours a nice dark mahogany brown with an off white head. Not too much head, but it sticks around for a while. After dissipating, it leaves a ring of foam around the edge of the glass.

S - Dark fruit and toffee on the nose and some nice malt underneath.

T - Dark fruit again, with some lighter honey and cherry notes mixed in. The malt is still there in the background. There is a ton of flavor here, a little bit of booze, and some suff that I can't quite pick out. However you slice it, this is a delicious beer.

M - Smooth and substantial. Moderately carbonated. This beer coats the mouth in a very pleasing way.

O - Delicious. A sterling example of a quad. I will be buying more of this.
