Had a 750ml bottle sourced from Belgium poured into Teku. While initially, I found the beer good, though not spectacularly so, a sour component to the flavor profile left a bad after taste and memory of the beer. The sourness was a taste of spoiled milk that I find disagreeable; though the beer was otherwise nice. I generally like good wheat beers with a little citrus, but not with a spoiled milk flavor.

Pours a very cloudy bright golden color. Fuzzy white head dissipates rather quickly leaving a ring of bubbly foam along the outside of the beer.

Smell is a lovely bright blend of wheat and citrus, mild clove and spice.

Taste follows the nose with a bright array of citrus, wheat, clove, pepper and spice with some very mild bittering hops on the finish.

Feel is smooth and almost creamy. Full bodied for the style. Medium carbonation.

As witbiers go, this is probably the best one out there. A pure pleasure to drink.

How have I never rated this before?!? Back in the day, like 07 or so, you could get 4 packs of this for 7 bucks. I went to town on it.

Pours bright yellow, hazy, white head: you know the drill. Smells lighter than I remember, with tame yeast and lemon with just the slightest hint of clove. A more rounded and wheatier aroma than most American iterations of the style, but still pretty tame for a Belgian-brewed Belgian wit.

Tastes delicate, but more complex. Dry, creamy wheat malt and yeast up front, a middle of dry cloves and tart lemon, and then a very quenching, lemony finish.

This beer pours a slightly cloudy yellow with a large head. The aroma has lots of lemon - almost like a lemon chiffon cake, with black pepper, salt, scented soap. The flavor is very light, and almost tart with fresh lemon peel, clove, and coriander. The mouthfeel is very thin and light. Overall this is different than many American Witbier interpretations - lighter, almost tart at times. It is a very refreshing and tasty beer.
