Notes / Commercial Description:
Spring Street Saison is a Belgian style farmhouse ale. The Saison is our flagship brew that helped spawn the formation of Avondale Brewing Co. Our Saison is brewed with our proprietary house yeast, a 4 malt blend and traditional Slovenian hops. Our unique brewing process along with the combination of the finest ingredients creates a thirst quenching brew with no equal. True to style this unfiltered ale has a coppery golden color and rich malty backbone that creates a unique farmhouse brew. Flavors burst with tropical fruit that combine with hints of spicy and peppery notes that are derived from our house yeast. One sip and you will fall in love.

This is an easy drinking, refreshing beer. A great alternative generic pale ale.

tap

Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white lacing for a head.

Smells of lemon citrus and a grassy malt, on the tart side.

Flavor is of citrus, grassy malts, coriander, and sweet bready undertones.

Light body with a sting of carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

Pretty good saison, nothing special but refreshing on a warm day and not too oppressive given its strength. Worth a try.

Bright golden color with nice white head that disappears fast, has a fruity smell and has a nice tart, lightly spiced taste. Finally tried Avondales flagship brew and I will be drinking more of this great summer brew!

On tap at the brewery.

A: Coppery/golden, as Avondale describes it. An off-white, half finger head that lingers. Filmy lacing.

S: Belgian yeast, fruity and floral with some biscuity malts.

T: Follows nose. Light, floral with hints of pepper and spice. Malts and Belgian yeast really pop for a terrific taste.

M: Light to medium with medium carbonation. Very smooth and sessionable.

O: A great middle of the road saison. Not spectacular but very tasty. Avondale does saisons proud.

Great american style saison. Little sweetness stands perfectly with the slight mustyness of the saison yeast. Very refreshing with little to no hint at the moderately high abv.

Tasty. A bit sweet, but not overly. Wish Avondale did 6 packs as the bomber seems a bit expensive for my everyday choices.

Tap from the brewery. Hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of lemons, yeast and herbs. Taste of lemons, herbs and wheat. It’s pretty good.
