22oz bottle poured to Pelican, could not find born on date but clerk thinks it is approx 8 mo old. Enjoyed on 2/25/17.
L: Dark amber, dark off white head, good retention and the most solid coat of lacing I've ever seen.
S: Haven't smelled one like this before; very unique and strong in a good way. Like a spicy ripened fruitcake.
T: Taste matched aroma perfectly; rich and spicy fruitcake with a strong malt backbone. Very unique. Bold yet smooth and balanced.
F: Has a chewy sweetness that I like. Not boozy at all for a 9 abv.
O: Not your typical citrusy floral piney DIPA; very unique in a good way and definitely worth trying. 9.95 for bomber was a little pricey IMO but glad I tried this Bama brew. Wish it were easier to find and more readily available.

Poured from a 22 oz bomber into a BBC Perfect Pint glass. Dark Amber color, pretty hazy. One finger head, good retention and lacing. Aroma is very sweet, with a little bit of fruity notes. The taste is pretty close to the aroma, it's pretty malty sweet. The mouthfeel wa thick and creamy - very nice, with a bit of prickly carbonation after the beer settled on the tongue. Overall, if I could get this regularly, it would probably occupy a permanent spot in my fridge.

Maybe I was sent some old Bama ipa's or what I don't know. But this beer does not impress me.

This is my favorite 2xipa I have ever had. Great aroma, perfect amount of piney bite to balance out the sweet explosion of citrus notes on the tongue and nose.
