A straightforward American Pale Ale. American two-row barley, a touch of Vienna malt. Then, an irresponsible amount of dry-hopping Citra for a unique aromatic experience. Pour vivaciously into your favorite tapered glass to fully enjoy.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into an Allagash cervoise glass. I'm assured this is quite fresh.

A: Filtered pale-amber with nice, white head and good lacing.

S: Incredible! The fruit is magnificent. Mangoes and grapefruit.

T: Wow. Apricot, which I don't know how I missed in the smell, is the dominant flavor on the tongue. Light bitterness is unobjectionable to all, but still enough to placate the hophead. The aftertaste is dry.

M: The malt backbone is biscuity and crisp, complementing the luscious hop profile nicely.

O: A very well-done, very tasty APA. It might not make my short-list, but it's certainly worth your time.

Loved the look an title of the can ,alas it fell way short of expectations . Pours a clear golden cool with a white head, this was the best part of this APA all down hill. Smell and taste is malty with citrus rind and pale malts some dank berries ,. Twas not horrible i drank the can it was fresh , woul;d never buy again or recommend it.

I left my wallet in...

Wait! I didn't leave it anywhere but I had to think that to myself as I found this beer at the Trader Joe's in Toluca Lake, California when I was out there relatively recently. Loved the presentation on the can although the liquid on the inside fell just a bit short of that, although this was certainly enjoyable and not that hard to kick back to.

Plenty gold, bright, and lively, this had enough head topping it off and lively suds that emerged when this was swirled or sipped. Lots of dank gooseberry, urine (yeah, I said it), and Vienna Malt in the nose as the taste as some grape, blueberry, and dank forest emerged on the palate once this fully warmed up. Only a heavy pith undertone reminded me that this had Citra in it as the dry-hopped nature was just a bit too overpowering for me. This came across as too heavy-handed for me to rate too high as I wish that there was more orange, bright bitterness, and less dankness in this but as it was, the aftertaste had a hint of sulfur and fall fruits as I needed a chaser of water to fully get this down.

Thankfully, the body was balanced and the alcohol was recessed as the bready malt and spice were present enough to take the urine-like undertone down a few notches. Dated 4/5 with "CITRA 183" written after it and "WEST COAST CRAFT" written under it, this wasn't a bad American Pale Ale although it left a bit to be desired. This was fine to have once, although better beers of this style are more readily available!

I have had some great Citra-dominated beers but this isn't one of them. 16 oz can dated 4/5/22 poured into a tulip glass. Yellow, with slight haze, 1 finger head of moderately short duration and no real lacing to speak of. Slight citrus+tropical fruity smell but nothing really notable. Not much bitterness for a pale. I would not have guessed that this was built on Citra. A little more pronounced on the taste. Not a big fan of the mouthfeel; moderate body but some oily undertones and "lager-ish" feel to it that is not very clean. Overall an OK pale, but nothing really noteworthy.

This is the first time I've picked this up, as I used to be more of a bang for your buck guy with beer, and Mayberry IPA is a much better choice in that regard. However, I've tried a few brews from these guys now and everything has impressed me so I figured I'd give this a go; glad I did.

Love the cool short bottles from these guys. I swear they used to be even shorter and fatter. Pours with a completely clear straw yellow body and off-white head. Lacing in thin garlands with specks like little flowers.

Aromas of mango, orange, lemon, pineapple, and blackberry up front with herbal aromas of basil, oregano and pine held together with yeasty bread dough.

Quite a bitter hoppy bite on this one. Basil and lemon nip the tongue while pineapple, orange, blackberry and mango try to smooth things out, but they scatter when big pine and his pal oregano come in with machine guns blazing. The sourdough pizza base can't even hold this hoppy monstrosity together. Warning; pale ales are starting to become like low-calorie IPAs.

The feel is light but with a slightly oily middle from the excessive hopping. The finish is crisp and dry with a light bready sweetness to soften it up a bit.

Overall a pretty damn good pale. A little on the hoppy side perhaps.

Had on tap. Clear gold body, two fingers white foam. Orange, lime, hops, lemon, and slight resin in the nose. Taste follows this, resin removed for more bitterness plus malt makes itself now more, not that pale though. Lower carbonated for style, but plenty crisp and classical. Solid apa

Really tasty, solid pale ale. It's clearly Citra hopped and carries a nice herbal, green, fresh hoppiness. I prefer pales with a bit more caramel malt in the background but this is really easy drinking and well made. Also I love the bottles. yb
