A: 4.25 A bit of a gusher once opened. Pours a hazy, golden-orange with an aggressive off white head that dissipates after a couple minutes.

S: 4.25 A good does of oak, toasted, bready malts, lemon, and pepper on the nose. Green apple, grapefruit, funk, and seawater are also present, but are a bit subtler.

T: 4.5 Very tart with similar characteristics as the nose. It could be a bit more sour. The tartness, lemon, and pepper are extremely well balanced by a light sweetness with oaky, toasty flavors. Grass and green apple linger on the aftertaste.

M: 4.25 The mouthfeel is fairly light, while substantial enough to carry all the flavors. Carbonation is a little high, but it’s very nice and gives the beer a lively feel. A slightly dryer finish would be a nice compliment to the sour flavors.

O: 4.5 A lot of classic gueuze flavors going on in this beer and overall done very well. It could be a bit more sour in my opinion, but I’ll age one for a while and see how it develops.
