Served on-tap at the source itself and served in a branded stange glass. On to the beer:
At the top is a head which a tanned color and solid retention. Below is a black bodied beer with red hues. The aroma has potential to be the gateway to a good beer. It smells of unsweetened chocolate and a few undertones of smoke., though overall the aroma is softer than it is upfront knock down the door intense. However, that doesn't prevent the beer from being good to the last drop. With its modest alcohol, its a good one to drink in most types of weather. There's a little smoke, semi-sweet base flavor, decent mocha note, and a slight note of hops. Helping the cause is smooth carbonation and a body which is lighter medium body, which on an 85F day was better than going the other direction with intensity.
It looks that Anaheim Brewery has found its place; a lineup of moderate flavored, easy drinking beers. The Mocha Porter is no different from that representation.
