Bottled 10/19/15; drank 11/15/15 @ the Yarchives.
Semi-opaque red/orange appearance.
Nice eggshell head; a frothy curtain of lace.
Cane sugar, grapefruit & caramel notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Fruit punch & cane sugar flavors up front; grapefruit & caramel notes on the finish.
Sweet but very tasty; I can see this becoming a cloying American barleywine down the road. Smash this fresh!!

One of my favorites. I haven't rated a lot of my older samplings, but I have drank a good amount of different IPAs in the past and this one was solid. I know it's a bit pricy for one bottle - at least to me - but I really loved it. I would definitely recommend it.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter, bottled 10/19/15.
Pours a medium amber color, a little cloudy, with a small head and some lacing. Smell is of malt, some citrus, light caramel, brown sugar. Taste leads with malt, more citrus than the nose- grapefruit, some piney hops, caramel. Good amount of bitterness throughout, and conversely, a little sweet. Smooth, good body, well carbonated, bitterness lingers.
Malt and hops are well balanced, good flavor, easy to drink. Well worth a purchase.

Poured into a tulip it has a off white head of 3 inches and a clear amber body. Smell of strong grapefruit, slight biscuit malt, pineapple, grass, and a bit of caramel. Taste is a creamy grapefruit, caramel, slight biscuit malt, citrus, grass, and slight floral. It has a creamy dry full mouth feel and a moderate body. A nice hoppy red ale, but just a bit too dry and not that complex.
