Smooth, spicy and wholesomely malty with an elegant finish thanks to caramelized wort and a bit of brown sugar, nutmeg and ginger. This beer is sure to make all those Airing of Grievances worth hearing about!

The Festivas Ale is Market Gardens version of the Christmas Ale....The beer poured a nice deep amber with white head that laced. The smell included cinnemon, egg nog and spice. The taste absolutely followed the smell....I believe there was some vanilla extract in it as well. The mouthfeel was a full bodied ale with good carbonation. Overall this beer rivals the Great Lakes Christmas Ale...these two breweries in teh West Side Market (for all you old schoolers) area are going toe to toe and the winner is the beer lover cuz each is stepping up their game!!! Yeah Baby!

12oz can into a pint glass
Look: brownish red with a foamy almond head. Good retention and lacing
Smell: cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla. Smells like the holidays
Taste: Follows the nose. Caramel and spices with a malty backbone
Feel: Spicy, almost a bit too much carbonation in combination with all the spices, but still nice
Overall: This is a great winter warmer. Love the flavor compared to others from the area. If it were a bit creamier, this would be dangerously easy to overindulge in.

A spicy holiday ale. Upon opening, it had a hint of the spicy goodness to come, the aroma of the nutmeg and ginger did come through. When poured it gave a slight foamy-head with some good lacing. It was clear, dark-amber in color, almost like bourbon. The taste gave a slight spicy lingering tingle. Certainly not a bad beer but there is so much spiciness one could enjoy before you ready to move on. Certainly worth trying, and having a couple of more.

L: pale for a holiday ale with very little head
S: typical holiday spices
T: ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, all present and well balanced
F: goes flat too soon. Thin for this style.
O: nothing spectacular though the ABV helps on a cold wet Cleveland night

Festivus Holiday Ale | Market Garden Brewery. Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, I got a two finger thick head, spotty lacing, and a deep amber body.
I smell lighter "holiday spices" mentioned on the label. Also some caramelized malts.
Yep, what I smell is what I taste here. Not too spiced and actually refreshing.
Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation.
I've decided to rate Festivus Holiday Ale | Market Garden Brewery with an overall 4.25
