The Festivas Ale is Market Gardens version of the Christmas Ale....The beer poured a nice deep amber with white head that laced. The smell included cinnemon, egg nog and spice. The taste absolutely followed the smell....I believe there was some vanilla extract in it as well. The mouthfeel was a full bodied ale with good carbonation. Overall this beer rivals the Great Lakes Christmas Ale...these two breweries in teh West Side Market (for all you old schoolers) area are going toe to toe and the winner is the beer lover cuz each is stepping up their game!!! Yeah Baby!

Pours a hazy deep orange-ish color with a small white head. In the aroma, ginger, mellow all spice and cinnamon. In the taste, ginger, all spice, cinnamon, and a sweet caramel like roast. A spice bite and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a small ginger and spice like aftertaste. Big on ginger, and big spices across the board, and it hides the alcohol.

This may be the most unexpectedly weak brew from Market Garden, and it is still good.

It has a weird look - almost no head and the fizz is more like soda, or some begian yeast or something. The aroma is similarly fruity and malty.

The taste is rich and sweet and the aftertaste is somewhat boozy. This really Is an unusual holiday brew, and as such it is recommended.

Freshest by 11/18/17. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy deep golden with bubbles racing upwards; small white head that fades leaving great retention and solid lacing. The aromas have a nice amount of spices. Cinnamon is there with some hints of nutmeg and ginger. Some cracker malts are there with some hints of caramel. The flavors are pretty clean. More cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger. Lots of clove in the finish. It's pretty earthy and grainy. Solid bitterness with some hints of cracker. It's not on the sweeter side. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is nice. It's on the thinner side of medium-bodied with very sharp active carbonation. It's fluffy and smooth. Very easy to drink.

This is a solid holiday brew. It's definitely worth checking out if you like holiday beers with cinnamon and the other usual suspects in the holiday spice department.

Pours a very coppery-amber. Off-white head, leaves moderate lace. Smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses, malty goodness, and some warmth in there buried deep inside. The taste hits much like the nose, very strong on cinnamon, and nutmeg, and other sugary spices. Slides down very easy with the medium-low carbonation. I mean as far as I'm concerned this beer drinks and tastes just as good as a GL X-mas ale. It's less robust than the 12 Dogs. So I'd say cleveland xmas ale award is quite the toss up between 12 dogs, GL, Brew Kettle Winter Warmer, and MK Festivus.
