This brewer is new to us in these parts, but the certainly have made an impression. I hope we see them some more.

It's a nice little very slightly dirty yellow with the typical AIPA minimal fizz. The aroma is moderate to weak but nice. The taste similarly is not the most adventurous, but it is very nice to drink. The aftertaste is a little boozy.

Overall, this is pretty good, but not truly outstanding in any way.

Picked up a single from the Quick Stop on 10-1-16 for $1.50. No canning date visible.

Beer poured more golden than orange with a beautiful white head that had some nice hang time.

Nose had hints of citrus and pale malts.

Taste had notes of spicy rye over the pale malt body with some subdued citrus.

Mouthfeel was medium bodied and refreshing.

Overall not a bad beer. The flavors did not pull together for me. Would not reject having one again but will not seek out.

In this hot and muggy weather, it's a good day to have an IPA. And my glass frosts over when I bring it out because the temperature inside is so much cooler than outside. CRACK!! goes the can, and here we go.

Redacted starts out pouring a golden amber color, with a head of 4 fingers, leaving skirted lace on the sides and rings as well. The dense, bubbly head is a sight.

Aromas of fresh squeezed orange, rye malts, and stone fruits (cherry, peach).

Flavor starts off a touch more bitter than I'd like, with some very piney notes, but they're far from ugly west coast territory. That fades into a chalkiness with some of that stone fruit that was nosed, and then the rye malts swell up and you get a strong punch of rye to the palate. The finish is of old rinds, chalk, and dull pine. It doesn't fair well and after half the can I'm about ready to dump it.

Feel is creamy and snappy, lending a pretty decent mouthfeel.

Overall, everything about Redacted is good except for the flavor. Lots to be desired here. Personally, I prefer their Consillium IPA to this one.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz can in a snifter via a friend from work----Thanks Randy!

Pours a cloudy glowing golden color with a nice head of white foam that settles to a thick ring, light pooling layer, and excellent lacing. Nose of sweet honey malts, spicy rye, and piney bittering hops. Flavors exceed the nose with candy touched spicy rye on the front and sides that fades in the middle to rear with herbal and piney hop bitterness with a bitter lightly sweet aftertaste. Smooth and lightly creamy mouth feel with medium carbonation to keep it lively and a bitter lightly dry finish. Solid for the style.

Cheers
