Wow! So impressed with this winner from a local brewer. Reminds me of another local IIPA, Hercules, by Great Divide.

Pours a hazy, honey like color, with a nice finger of foam.
Nose is piney, hoppy.
First hit my tongue with a malty sweetness, followed immediately with nice, strong, but not overpowering, bitterness.
Hops through to the finish, but so well balanced with the malty sweetness. This is a superior IPA.

12 oz can

pours murky and clouded, leaves respectable low sheeting.

oily hop nose

Hoppy but not overly bitter, soft and ripe fruit notes..tasty and dangerously drinkable at over 11%

Somebody said it before, "My favorite IPA I don't like". Sweet alcohol burn slides into some earthy bitterness, more the onion spectrum of hops. Had it draft twice, cans twice, (not at one sitting!!!). This is a strong beer, not the flavor profile of hops taste or smell that I prefer, but it IS whatever a triple IPA IS, no mistaking that. This was labeled Renegade E3, endpoint triple IPA, like the can in the picture.

To sum up, too watery for a proper barleywine, but it could'a been. It was a bit thick on the tongue, mild carbonation in the can but a bit more lively on draft. The alcohol, imho, is very noticeable in the taste and effect, again, my favorite IPA I don't like. Would hesitate to recommend this to any but serious hop heads or barleywine lovers, it would taste like dirt to anyone else.

Wife and I were on a trip to Denver. This was a pretty chill/good stop along the way, but of the beers the E3 stood out.
Look: copper, good grip to the glass
Smell: Citrus, hoppy, not too boozy
Taste: Pretty good IIIPA. Smooth and with a punch that isnt too boozy
Feel: Full and Balanced.
Overall: Good beer, I would have it again but wouldnt go out of my way for it.

Appearance - hazy darkish copper color, nice retention. Smell - fruity honestly, mild hop smell. Taste - actually doesn't follow the nose at all. I get a lot of hops and some malt on the back end. Very interesting. Overall - interesting beer, glad I just blindly snagged it while in CO. Would like to try on tap. Girlfriend has not tried but I bet she'll say it tastes like dirt.

Summer 2015 discovery. Love the golden color and citrusy flavor

I sampled this ale at Bull Market in Valentine Nebraska. Appearance-wise this beer is impressive, there is a hazy, light orange color. A pleasant, citrus aroma greets ones nose when bringing the beer up for a sip. The flavor is robust, with a good balance of significant maltiness against your typical IPA hoppiness. Although not a big IPA fan I do find the high gravity ones interesting and worthy of drinking.

Great rich coloring. Floral hoppy smell. Unfortunately didn't pack the punch I was hoping for. Little watered down. Smooth. Still pretty good though. Would drink as a pint, not order a growler.
