Very few Triple IPAs can pull off what Beachwood pulls off here! Amazing! Happy Hangover!

10oz tulip at THG.

A: Clear deep golden with a couple fingers of dense off-white head that faded into a thin collar. Wispy sticky lace.
S: Herbal, slightly dank, slightly citrus nose with a touch of pine. Not as perfumey and fragrant as I'd anticipated. Hints of volatile alcohol present as well.
T: Juicy up front with a very leafy finish and lingering green leafy bitterness. Spicy herbal quality, hint of mint, with a touch of bitter citrus rind linger in the aftertaste. No trace of the base two row as the hops obviously shine.
M: Alcohol is actually hidden quite well but there is a mild warmth presence. Not a harsh burn or presence though as this beer has fairly polished edges. Full bodied, viscous and slick mouthfeel full of greasy hop oils but drying finish and a fairly light (for a triple) mouthfeel. Very drinkable.
O: Very clean and easy to drink for a triple with a smoother mouthfeel than some.

- 6oz. pour off tap into a pint glass at the restaurant (Long Beach, CA) on 5-Feb-16

One of the better triple IPA's I've had. Nice malt, hop, body balance. I prefer this a bit over El Segundo's PP and definitely better than Knee Deep's Simtra, but not quite as good as PtY or Noble's Citra Yum Yum.
