Slate black with a brown cap. Nose is driven by barrel character all the way, roasted malts and dark chocolate with vanilla accents support. The taste drove me insane trying to figure out what they had done: delicious toffee and vanilla with almost brown sugar notes added, barrel, molasses, and dark chocolate make up the depths but the finish as it warms has a hint of what I can be describe as candied orange. Odd but I don't hate it. Certainly a sweet RIS, and really without the oak and booze from the barrel I'm not sure if it would work. Very light bodied yet boozy and oak laden, sweet finish distracts. It stands out

Ima agree with father Raul on this one - there is a little bite in the end. And although it may not be a Veronica Lake bite, I’m thinking more Joan Crawford, which Raul would, but it’s not his first choice. Yeah, along the way is pretty smooth barrel aging basically like anyone not Jack Daniels. Taste is spot on like a horse shoe on Pinocchio’s nose.

Ok, time to drink. I’m outta here.

2017 Cubs NLDS victory brew! Aged a year and exceptionally smooth!

Very chocolatey and easy to put down. Warmed up nicely! I’ve had better, I’ve had worse. Solid night cap.

Bomber into a tulip, the brew appears black in color with a dark mocha cap that fades to a thin film.

The aroma is pleasant with cocoa, vanilla, caramel, oak and bourbon.

Initial flavors are earthy and meaty then oak, bourbon, roast, earth and char comes into play.

Its medium to lighter in body with modest carbonation. Pretty decent stuff.
