Not sure what defines this beer other than being generally hoppy, very busy and confusing palate with moderately bitter lingering aftertaste, enjoyable but nothing special.

Bottle dated 2/20/17, poured into pint glass.

Look: Gold-ish orange. Minimal to no haze. Standard West Coast DIPA appearance.

Smell: Solid combo of pine and citrus.

Taste: Clearly an Imperial. Hard to describe, but just has that distinct aftertaste of a Double IPA. Hop presence is heavy, with more of the piney/danky notes coming forward with less of the citrus that presented itself in the initial smell.

Feel: Heavy, and certainly oily.

Overall: Not my favorite DIPA.

Poured from a 22-ounce bottle, dated 2/20/17, a clear pale orange under a 1/2" thick white head which fades to the rim and leaves semi-splotches of lace. Aroma is muted dankness. Flavor is resiny, sticky, citrus, tropical, and piney. Semi-full body and semi-moderate carbonation. Finishes boozy, herbal and bitter. Actually expecting much more from a 2 day old bottle. Have had on tap at the source and felt is was better than the bottle.

Pours a clear gold to amber color with a big frothy white head. Smells of all the goods: piney, fruity, weedy, and even juicy if juicy could be a smell! Taste follows with a bit of that "oniony" flavor that you either love or hat (i love), along with a a mild bready sweetness. Deceptively smooth, you would have no idea this was 10%, good medium carbonation and bitterness. Just another home run from Beachwood. Cheers!

Is this beer SoCal's Pliny the Younger slayer?

Drank from a bottle 5 days old, this bomber purchased on location was an evening maker.

Looks: great, deep and lightly filtered golden hue with nice head
Smell: Floral and citrus, this gave great smell. wanted to make you drink it to see if it was real
Taste: wow, could not believe how much I enjoyed this bomber. the alcohol was not noticeable in the taste. great flavor, great blend of hops, great carbonation. it was the perfect amount of fucked up for one person without the mess of adding liquor

Bottled 080816...Freshy.
Golden. Brilliant gold hue. Initially appears crystal clear, but upon closer observation it has a slightly hazy tinge to it. Tight, fluffy white head soars northward 3 fingers high. Gentle, faint lacing clings lazily to the glass. Aroma is piney followed by some tropical mango notes and mild honey sweetness. Enticing. Flavor goes forth with more tropical and an accompanying sweetness. Pine notes are less pronounced and actually saunter toward a pleasant weedy dankness. There's also the faintest hint of pepper. Drying bitter notes smooth out the finish. Mouthfeel is slightly full for style, but I like that. Overall, I really like this DIPA. It goes in the tropical dank direction without going overboard on either.

Bomber bottled on 8/8, poured into a tulip on 8/14

Pours clear gold with little head, and a bit of lacing.

Smells earthy, with dank pine, and notes of toasted bread

Taste has citrus rind, clove and spice. Earthy, piney, resinous. Nicely balanced with bready malt.

Finely carbonated, a little bit of alcohol (as expected for 10%) but not oily or sweet.
