From the 22oz bomber bottle
Nonic style glass used
Pale gold body, mostly cleared with a lasting foam cap of khaki suds. Nice window dressing to it. Pine, earthy dank resin, and light grapefruit zest aromatics. Some mild malt sweetness there. This one is all resinous grapefruit pith and bitter pine up front with a subtle caramel malt base. No frills, West Coast style. Somewhat aggressive in its bitterness with a dry lingering finish.
Not my favorite IPA to come out of Beachwood but still way better than average.

12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip
A: Pours a golden orange with a bright white head, looks under carbonated, slight lacing and head retention.
A: Not as hoppy as I was expecting, slight aromas of grapefruit, pine, and herbal grassiness, lots of sweet caramel malts on the backend, lacks hop punch.
T: Lots of pine and grapefruit zest, lemon zest, grapefruit, lots of piney, zesty bitterness, finish has lemon peel and piney notes, very dry.
M: Medium/light bodied with a very dry finish.
O: Lots of piney and zesty bitterness, especially as the beer warms, not an easy drinking, smooth IPA. I like bitter west coast style IPAs but this one needs to tone down the bitterness and add some balance, I was expecting more maltiness in the taste as I picked it up in the aroma.

Pours pale gold with frothy white head
Smells of crisp lemon, zesty rind, and pine needles
Tastes in line with the smell, with the addition of toast...which is kind of odd in this setting
Overall refreshing and easy drinking, but not a standout.

Pours a brilliantly clear golden color with a decent white head. Smells exactly like it says on the bottle. Simcoe and Amarillo pine and cirtus all the way. Definitely has that in the flavor as well as a fresh breadiness, but has an unusual flavor that I can't quite put my finger on. Almost sesame like. Anyhoo, very crisp and refreshing, a little more balanced than their other IPA offerings, and finishes dry. Overall, this is a pretty good West Coast style IPA, but prefer most of Beachwood's others to this. Cheers!
