12 ounce bottle poured into a tulip
A: Pours a hazy amber color with no head retention or lacing, looks completely flat, very different from other Invasive IPAs I've tasted.
A: Not picking up any mango, grapefruit, earthy, herbal grassiness, not one hint of tropical aromas, strange.
T: Hint of mango up front, grapefruit, piney bitterness, finish is dry with more grapefruit and pine in the aftertaste, very little mango on the taste. As the beer warms the mango becomes more noticeable but it's artificial and sweet, very strange.
M: Light bodied, lacks carbonation, semi-dry finish.
O: Working my way through the Invasive variety pack and this by far is the worst with one more to go, very little mango on the taste, none on the aroma, it's completely flat.

thin. thinner than the original IPA. mango flavors are almost artificial in the brew, with a chemical-ly kind of aftertaste. for 7.1%, easy to down but not as enjoyable on the palate. still, not bad. it's okay. probably being compared heavily to Ballast Point's version.....
