For being a better version of BMC, it's pretty solid all things considering.
That being said, this style isn't one I normally go for. Great purchase for family members who aren't familiar with craft, and solid price at 6 12oz cans for $9.

On tap at Beachwood BBQ & Brewing in Long Beach, CA.
Pours a clear gold with an off-white head that settles to an oily film on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt/grain and some grassy and herbal aromas. Taste is very much the same with a mild bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good cream ale with a better taste than smell.

Served on-draught into a strange curved pint glass at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach, California. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a two finger head of white colour, decent thickness, slight cream, and bad retention. Colour is a semitransparent copper.
Sm: Clean barley and malts. That's it. Very simple. A bit bland.
T: Clean full barley body without too much sharp carbonation. Hints of honey. Surprisingly little cream for a cream ale. Simple but fairly balanced. Boring but enjoyable. Pleasant and drinkable. It's no Kilkenny, but I like it.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Nice thickness. Adequate carbonation. Fairly complementary of the flavours of the body.
Dr: Drinkable but a bit boring. I don't think I' get it again. Very drinkable - its best attribute.

This pours like an albino blonde ale - super clear, almost like a cheap lager. Aroma was sweet and bready with a touch of citrus. The taste is surprisingly underwhelming for Beechwood BBQ. I am a big fan of Beechwood but not a big fan of blonde ales so maybe that's why this rating is a bit skewed. Overall the taste is very very light for an ale but maybe that was their aim. There is almost zero alcohol taste so could be a plus depending on why you're drinking this beer.

I tried the Foam Top at the brewery. It poured a clear yellow with white head that did not leave much lace. The scent and taste were fruity and sweet. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

Pours brilliantly clear gold with a white "Foam Top" that surprisingly dissipated rather quickly. Smells of bready sweet malt, with a hint of herbal hops. Tastes similar, and leans towards the sweeter side, but there is a nice herbal bitterness to balance it just enough. Feels a bit thin, but crisp and enjoyable as an easy drinking everyday beer. Cheers!

i love these guys, and for all the bold and attention demanding beers they make, i think its cool they can nail something this basic too. a fine blonde ale, pretty and clear in the pint glass under most of an inch of puffy white head and with a lot of bubbles racing up, looks like it should. less happening in the nose, but its a blonde after all, just kind of smells like beer, with a light, almost noble hop bitterness and grassiness and a flash of pale malt sweetness in it too. the flavor has a little more character than the aroma, not striated at all, well integrated flavors of dry tea-like hops and crackery cereal malt together, not a peep from the ale yeast, as it probably should be in the style. what makes this beer for me is not the flavor, a lot of them taste like this, its the feel, crisp like a lager, pale and bright in feel, assertive carbonation and a dry finish, champagne-like on the tongue and very fresh, others should aspire to this textural experience. i have seen bottles around, but its nice to have it on tap. for me, these guys can do no wrong, and leave it to them to make a hoppy enough blonde beer that drinks like a lager and is fairly priced. its their wild stuff that turns me on the most, but come on, this is really nice! underrated, it slays with a pizza too!
