Brewed with an abundance of Citra hops, we also blend in Warrior, Columbus, and Simcoe in the kettle for good measure. Citraholic is double dry hopped for two weeks with an abundance of Citra (and a touch of Columbus) imparting heavy aromas of citrus & tropical fruits with melon and gooseberry nuances.

Another great crisp citrusy Cali ipa. Nice carbonation on tongue. I disagree with the reviewer who said after the lemony first taste it falls flat. It’s tasty all the way down.

16oz can canned 12/19/22 into a pint glass.
L: Pours clear radiant yellow gold w a 1" slightly soapy white head w good retention, VG carbo with lrg & sml bubbles eventually going to lower fine bubbles, scattered lacing & broken sheeting.
S: Earthy citrus pith, cat pee on a pine tree, a hint of crackery malt, caramel, fruity, a trace of dankness, more caramel with warming.
T: A mix of citrus fruits, some rind, pith: orange, tangerine, light grapefruit, melon, lemon, white berries, honey, sweet caramel malts, a touch of yeast, very lightly resinous.
F: Gently crisp medium bodied feel, med-length lightly drying finish and a comfortably light linger. Smooth overall.
O: A great tasting American IPA that is lightly sweet, gently crisp with a beautiful balance overall. It is not a complex beer and is outstanding in its style.

Canned 05/05/22, Citraholic pours a very slightly hazy golden yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. The taste is very hop forward with citrus hints. A bit of funk, crisp and refreshing, Citraholic is a fine SoCal IPA. Thanks again @RaulMondesi for sharing.

Citraholic IPA from Beachwood. Received on 21/2/21, cost $ 8.17 (Including shipping) for a 16 oz can ($ 0.510/oz) from Craftshack, San Diego, CA. Stored at home at 42 degrees. Reviewed 28/2/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on bottom rim “C1-CITRA 11/30/20”. Served at 50.1 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 56.3 degrees.
Appearance – 4.
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 2), clear.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), slight haze. When rear-lite, same.
Head – Large (Maximum 4.5 cm, aggressive center pour), white, medium density, average retention, leaving a three to six mm undulating crown, and a thin partial cap. Second pour produces a seven mm head.
Lacing – Fair. Blocky bands of very tiny to small bubbles, connected by short columns.
Aroma – 4 – Begins with bright citrus when the can is opened but quickly slides into a musty citrus. No malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4 – Begins crisp and slightly bitter with moderate generic citrus. No malt, no yeast. No alcohol (7.1 % ABV, as marked on container) taste or aroma. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Toward the end of the second pour at the warmer temperature, the citrus has faded and the earthy/herby/woody simcoe hops have begun to arise. Ends moderately bitter and a bit earthy with a long hang-time.
Palate – 3 – Medium, watery, soft carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.75 Overall, a good IPA that I’d like to try when it’s fresher (Craftshack sat on the shipment about a month because of the weather here in the NE – damned if you do, damned if you don’t!” Still, one I’d like to try again – I like the hops blend used. Thanks for putting the malt and hop bills on the can!

16 oz can bought in a 4pk from a cooler on about 2/10/21 and consumed 2/16. Canned date is 12/18/20. Pours with a light haze instead of crystal clear. Nice white fluffy head, not too long lasting though, a little lacing. Smells somewhat like the hops, tastes like the hops, but even if technically the smell/flavor are "good" or nicely done for the style I find I am not apparently not a big fan of that hop combination. Flavor/Mouthfeel is a nice balance of gentle carbonation and hoppiness. I need to drink another and refine my scores and judgement, but I'm not a huge fan of this one even if it technically hits the mark and my scores are biased toward the technical rather than personal preference side.

This is a good beer, but not great and falls flat at the end of a sip. It looks decent (nothing special), has a noticeable but one-note citrus smell, and has a crisp lemon taste. However, that taste fades fairly quickly, leaving only a faint alcohol-and-nothing-else feeling in the back of the mouth. Still, it is a refreshing beer and I could imagine someone getting absolutely sloshed drinking this because it doesn't feel like a 7.1% abv ale. One frustrating note: the can states the beer has a score of 70 ibus, but this beer is not that hoppy at all. As I mentioned before, the taste of citrus and hops fades fast. Ultimately, if one were hankering for a simple and decent citrus ale, I wouldn't object to gettin this one although I'd likely spring for something else. With a few tweaks--especially regarding a more lasting a full interplay between hops and citrus--this could be an excellent beer.
