On Tap

Churchill's Pub & Grille
San Marcos, CA

As the name implies, this is an incredibly dank IPA. Huge amounts of resin and sticky marijuana and pine flavor from sip to swallow. Fairly high bitterness as well, but this is a complete DIPA. Big in every way imaginable, though the alcohol is pretty well concerned, all things considered. I would very much like to have another glass of this...or an entire growler!

On tap at the source for the 2nd Anniversary event. Chinook, Columbus, Warrior, Simcoe, Amarillo, & Mosaic hops.

A: Pours a clear orange with a thin (1/4") white head which leaves stringy and spotty lace.

N: Grapefruit and tangerine citrus with loads of herbal and grassy notes.

T: Double dank with resiny and sticky pine combine with some malty sweetness for balance.

M: Medium body and carbonation. Fairly dry and bitter finish.

O: Slightly higher ABV with this DIPA. Tons of hops. Another nice one.

Served on tap at Beachwood Long Beach in a pint glass. For reals? A pint? Pour is deep orange-yellow with an inch of pillowy off white head. Smell is slightly tropical and citrus with big pine and resin. Taste is really nice. Subdued bitterness and mellow alcohol despite the high (10%) ABV. Some nectarine, grapefruit rind, pine. The malt is hidden as much as possible. Really delicious. Hides the alcohol well. Finishes fairly dry and drinkable. Another winner from Beachwood.
