Pours a crystal clear golden color with a finger of white fluffy head. The aroma is big citrus, oranges and grape fruit. The flavor follows the nose with oranges, grape fruit and a little Mellon with a big piney resinous bitter finish.....great triple ipa heretic

Bomber picked up at the COOP.. Pours clearish golden with a long lasting sudsy white head, great lacing. Tons of tropical fruits with background pithy hoppiness.. Not as sweet as the ABV or the Triple IPA moniker leads to believe.. Big ole So Cal DIPA... I'd buy this again for sure.

Candied citrus rind gives way to grapefruit pith bitterness. Medium bodied. Never feels too sweet. The finish is on the drier side. Alcohol warms the chest but you don't taste it. Really solidly made triple IPA.

Small head that reduces to rim bubbles. Only a few spots for lace and these quickly disappear. The liquid is yellow gold. Clear.

Hoppy in a weedy sort of way. No notable alcohol.

Strong hop with the warming effects of the alcohol but without oiliness. Richer body than expected with a below average level of effervescence. Long aftertaste of alcohol and straight up bitterness. Overall, this is far more nondescript than I expected.

Had this on draft at Martins West in Redwood Park, CA. I've never had Pliny the Younger, but I'm guessing the whole "triple IPA" label here, as well as the timing of the release, is not a coincidence. Whatever, they nailed it. This is big malt, big citrus hops, and fantastic flavor. 11.5% alcohol? I couldn't taste it, but after two of these it was bedtime. Best beer I've ever had with IPA in the name.

Bottled 2/3/17 and poured from a bomber into a snifter. Nice-looking, mildly hazy golden orange color with a robust white head. Nice lacing in the glass. As expected, a great hop aroma with pungent citrus, floral notes, and piney resin. A big hit of citrus on the first sip - oranges and grapefruit - followed by a bracing and ringing aspirin-like bitterness. The malt is there an balanced, and the other flavors (in the nose) are also there, but I was overwhelmed by the back-end bitterness. Warming but not boozy.
