Dated 5/21/18 on the bottom of the can, a little over 3 weeks since brewing.

Pours an unfiltered yellow straw with high particulate and two + half fingers of incredibly rocky head. Nose starts off with tropical fruit, papaya, mango, over-ripened guava, slight pink grapefruit pith, biscuity malt and some pilsner grain. Taste falls off quite a bit from the aroma; mango, slight citrus, biscuity/pilsner malt and a hint of lactose hits your palate fast and dissipates quickly. Mouthfeel is a medium-light boosted by the lactose, without it would be a bit thin for 6.5%. Medium sweetness, low bitterness, almost no drying. Low carbonation. Nothing to write home about. If you're just getting in to NEIPAs this may be a nice low priced introduction at $11 for a 4 pack of 16ers. Doesn't compete with any of the big dogs. I'd put it in a class with the Sam Adams New England IPA. Shooting for the style but not hitting the mark.

Pours hazy, light gold in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is dank herbal hops, mango and guava. Medium-light bodied, moderate carbonation slightly sweet. Makes for an above average dank ipa. Expected more juiciness for a beer with this name. Wanted way more pop. Gets better as it warms.

Canned 05/21/18

Appearance - Pours slightly hazy and golden yellow in color with a fair amount of sediment floating about. White, near finger width head that shows sub-par retention before dying down to a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass.

Smell - Mango mostly, with some accompanying citrus character.

Taste - Strong mango upfront and throughout. Lesser Orange. Touch of pineapple. Light bready malts. Finish is quick with a fading the aforementioned fruity flavors.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low, lightly tingly carbonation. Creamy texture makes this an easy drinker, though a flat and mostly lifeless finish.

Overall - They added real mango to this and it shows. Lactose too, so technically this might be a milkshake IPA? It's good, but lacks depth outside that mango flavor, and the lack of carbonation is a real problem.

The beer pours out a lightly hazy light golden color, with 1 finger of white head and a decent amount of sediment------------- the aromas are of sweet and juicy mango and pineapple---------------- the flavors are of light coconut, tartness, pine, orange, grapefruit, mango, soapy/grassy and stone fruit, the beer has a creamy full mouthfeel with a medium bitterness on the finish----------------- overall this beer is exceptional - what a nice take on the milkshake ipa, the mango does not come through on the flavor as much as I would like, but there is a melange of other tropical fruits that make this beer a tasty treat---------

Notes via stream of consciousness: So this is a NE IPA with mango and lactose. OK. It's light golden in color, yellow I guess, but quite murky. The head is a massive cap of frothy white foam. I couldn't get it all in the glass without waiting for it to settle. So this is supposed to be a juice bomb but I've had brighter "juicy" NE IPAs. I get a kind of a generic tropical fruit in the nose with lots of pineapple rind - not pineapple fruit, but the outside that's quite piney. Some orange, some mango, some apple... it's nice. A little dank, just a little. On to the flavor... well, BAM, there's the juiciness. It actually tastes like juice. What exact kind I don't know, but again I get the mango, and some orange, maybe a bit of peach, and guava. Hmmm, some berry as well. Blueberry? Are there Mosaic hops in here? If you keep looking I'm sure you'll find even more specific fruits, and yet they don't really pop at all except for the mango. And, bonus, that raspy and piney note that's in the aroma doesn't carry over into the flavor. There's just a little bit in the lingering aftertaste along with some mild bitterness. Hmmm, as I'm tasting it now I'm also thinking about the mouthfeel and I think that the lactose gives it a bit more body, and creaminess, and it's very much like a glass of juice in that regard as well. A moderate carbonation level helps with that. It's interesting, it's sweetish, and very fruity, but then in the end it comes out dry. It might not be the best 'juicy" NE IPA I've ever had but it's up there. My only complaint is that for me the lactose seems to stick in my mouth after the first four ounces or so, but other people I've talked to don't seem to have that issue. Worth trying. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, it has excellent head retention and very good lacing.

Canned on 3/8/18; drank on 4/7/18; labeled as a "Hazy New England-Style IPA with Passion Fruit"; a good attempt at the style, but lacks body and the fruit addition really adds way too much to the sweetness

Soft yellow and hazy with lots of fine bubbles that are hard to see. Topped with 2 fingers of off white head.

Smells of mangos, pine, pineapple and orange juice.

Tastes of pine, pineapples, dank weed, green leaf, mangos and citrus. Fruit forward.

Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Got in Sacramento, drinking in Redding, Nov 28th, 2018. Well done brew.

Pours a golden yellow color with a dense white head. Aroma is a decent amount of tropical hops and a barge full of mango.

The taste is also fruity hops and especially mango. Loads and loads of mango. The mouthfeel is in line with the style, just wish it had a smidge more bite, otherwise this is simply outstanding, IMHO.

If you don’t like mango, avoid this beer at all costs. If you like mango, consider shoving women and children out of your way to acquire it

L: Hazy golden yellow in color. About a finger of a frothy white cap with generous amounts of residual lacing.
S: Slight notes of mango and some malts but not much else.
T: Full of mango fruity flavor with some lemon and grapefruit notes.
F: Light bodied and medium weight. Refreshing feel but not a fluffy as other NEIPAs.
O: A very enjoyable beer. If you like mango, you'll like this brew. I am very glad to have tried. Cheers!

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on July 16, 2018. Brewed with mango and lactose. Look is hazy. Smell and taste is tropical fruit. Feel is luscious.
