Nice floral nose, grapefruit, lots of pine, it comes to get ya. Tast

IPA, but not a double. Reminds me a bit of Revolutions Anti-Hero, but not as intense. Alcohol well hidden, goes down smooth and easy, but be careful, it means business at 8.0. Very dry finish. Good stuff!

Quite pale for a DIPA... Nice head.
Aromas and taste is apricots, peaches, grapefruit.
Drinks more like an IPA than DIPA, but that might be age.
Alcohol well hidden.

Bottled date of 10/21/16

Appearance - Pours clear with a white, finger width head. Good retention, resulting in a thin, broken layer of suds. Solid amount of lacing, mostly consisting of broken webbing and spots between them.

Smell - Candied orange, lesser grapefruit, spice, and a bit of caramel.

Taste - Follows the nose. Primarily hoppy citrus notes of orange and grapefruit, with lesser pine. Spice bites mid-taste. Strong caramel backbone. Finishes with lingering spiciness, caramel sweetness and mild pith bitterness.

Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and slick in texture, but tails off in the finish, leaving a slightly watery impression.

Overall - I'm a sucker for citrus/caramel combo IPA's, and this one is no exception. Very nice balance, with just enough bitterness and spice to let you know it means business.

355ml can poured into an oversized wine glass.

Mild hazy bright golden hue with thick frothy white head that is here to stay with pretty good retention before gradually subsiding to long-lasting scatter bubbles on the surface along with lots of lacing patch and spot on the glass-side.

Hop dankness firstly hits through a nose, very piney and resiny as well as citrus and passion fruit. Hop also provides notes of floral and earthy while malt with a sweet breadiness to caramel. The overall aroma has a good mix between malt and hop which malt is in a support role.

The first kick of the flavor is big resiny, piney, and earthy hop. Malt then tries to cut in with touches of bread and caramel that is a bit sweet, however, hop doesn’t much allow by pushing forward its notes of spice and citrus. The end is wrapped up by modest hop bitterness which as well lingers as an aftertaste.

The body is medium to rather full with good crispness from its lively high carbonation that is consider as proper to carry all the things well inside the smooth palate, pleasantly dry finish.

Solid offering from Heretic, the beer is quite big and bold but alcohol is very well hidden making it easy to drink. This will not disappoint and worthy for sure.

22oz bottle served in a large mug. I don't see a date on the bottle right now. Bought it at Jane's in Sunnyvale, flew it home in my suitcase.

Pours a pretty clear yellow-golden with a big white head and lots of carbonation. Smell is muted, lemon skin, hay and yeast.

Taste is vaguely floral sweetness up front with a kind of piney bitter finish. Lemon comes out a little, too.

Mouthfeel is surprisingly airy and full. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.

Hops evident in the aroma at first pour, and then come on full strength at first taste. Hazy amber body with small silky head. Hoppy astringent aroma, taste of pine sol, caramel, slick mouth feel.
