This one pours a fairly dark black color, with no head or lacing.

This unfortunately smells like it's a bit past its prime. There's some nice chocolate and coconut, but no coffee. vanilla, or rum barrel.

This is smooth, but almost, too smooth. There's not much flavor at all - just kind of flat. There's some nice coconut and cocoa left here, but the flavor just doesn't linger at all. As it warms, the flavor does deepen, but the flavor is still just overall quite thin.

This is thin, but it's decently creamy nonetheless. There's a very low level of carbonation.

This seems like its best days are past it. It was cool to try, but more of an antique than a good beer.

Shiny obsidian black with a quick to fizzle out mocha head that leaves a thin creamy ring.

Smell is coconut rum with soft vanilla frosting and chocolate liqueur accented by banana skin.

While this tastes markedly better than the vanilla variant, it still has that medicinal quality in the background that the vanilla also had. However, the bitter, savory and nutty roast of the coffee with the creamy, almost herbal coconut mitigate the less desirable notes of the vanilla, while also allowing room for a bit of chocolate before a touch of spiced, warming rum comes in. The coffee smoothly comes out even more on the pleasant exhale.

With the pastry flavor profile, BushWacker is definitely in the dessert beer category moreso than the other variants, as the body is also slick, smooth and decadently round with a fine, crisp fizz and a slightly sticky, semi-dry finish.

Excellent barrel aged beer! From smell to finish this beer embodies the perfect experience for my palate. Starts in a very good forward sense promoting coffee/chocolate notes and quickly transitions to coconut/chocolate notes. The finish is excellent leaving a great coconut/rum/chocolate flavor. Definitely different from its bourbon barrel counter parts. Is smooth the entire way without the bourbon bit seen in its counter parts. Congrats on another home run from Witch's Hat!
