Pours golden orange with a nice sized head. It has a general fruity smell with a slight hoppy hint. Taste is very pleasant, very nice citrus hops on the first sip that lead into a nice deeper orange lemon like aftertaste. Mouthfeel is pretty spot on carbonation slightly high. Overall an amazing session beer I wish we had this year round by me.

Bottled served in weizen glass

A - Golden amber with 2 finger white head with excellent retention and excellent bubbly lacing

S - Citrus herbal and floral hop wheat mild notes

T - Strong herbal, pine, wheat, follows note, very nice. Slams you in the face with citrus, peppery spice and herbal notes, then backs off all most too soon with a nice smooth only mildly bitter finish.

M - Medium body, moderate carbonation. A lot of warming EtOH.

O - Pretty good, just think this mild APA has too soon a finish

Poured from a bottle into a sam adams perfect pint glass

Appearance: Burnt orange color with 1.5 fingers of nice offwhite head, dissipates a little quick.

Smell: Nice fragrance, citrusy with apricot and toffee. Also has some good hopiness to offset the fruit notes.

Taste: Nice and crisp, just enough hops and yet it isn't overpowering. Toffee and Citrus fruit that correspond with the fragrance.

Mouthfeel: Plenty of carbonation but it dissipates quickly on the tongue. It doesn't linger around the palate which makes it very drinkable.

Overall: Good session brew, i like the pale ale characteristics along with the fruitiness. Great on mild spring or summer evenings.

A: Pours a dark, clear gold with a compact, lingering whitish head.

S: Aromas of caramel, cream, butterscotch, pine, and citrus fill the nose.

T: Notes of caramel, cream, butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, pine, spruce, herbs, lemon peel, bitter orange, and kumquat wash across the palate. The finish is dry and lingering with an abundance of caramel, cream, lemon peel, and herb notes.

M: Light-bodied, dry, and smooth. Carbonation is perfect for the style. Alcohol is, of course, undetectable. This is an extremely drinkable little ale.

O: Three Floyds has done a very good job of coming up with a light, drinkable ale that still has some heft to it. If you associate Three Floyds exclusively with monstrous brews like Dark Lord, Apocalypse Cow, and Arctic Panzer Wolf, Pride & Joy may really surprise you.
