Collaboration with Surly Brewing Company and Real Ale Brewing Company
This double black as night IPA is too massive for just one brewery’s efforts. BLAKKR took the trinity of Real Ale Brewing Co., Surly Brewing Co. & Three Floyds Brewing Co. to actualize this crushing ale. Cheers.
This is the 22oz bottled 3 Floyds version, brewed in collaboration with Three Floyds / Surly / Real Ale.

hail Blakkr. this brew was rad.
pitch black body with toasted cream head of foam and lacing for miles
coffee roasted malt with pine blast aroma
taste is roasted malt with doses of subtle sweet chocolate and dark stone fruit with coffee bean and earthy bitter pine hop
moderately high carbonation with medium body and a pleasant dry finish that lingers
overall:
an experience damnwell worth it.

Bottled 2/14/14; drank 3/7/14 @ the Palace.
Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Brown/purple hue.
Tan head; frothy lace.
Orange citrus & roasted coffee nose; yep, a black IPA!
Creamy, thick mouthfeel.
This tastes like an orange & chocolate dessert-rich & delicious. It's a touch too bitter & dry on the finish, but still a fine cascadian ale.
