Release #2 of the Three Floyds/Municipal Waste beer series. Over the top, like a dog named Pizza, Horny for Blood is a sultry slutty oatmeal stout. After aging in bourbon barrels with cacao nips, it’s fully amped and ready to lunge! “Wow, Pizza is Horny for Blood!”

Got this one from claaark13 a while back. He's a good chap, and with a couple kids now, I forgive him for not chatting with me endlessly for hours on end any more...
Apparently that long sentence above was enough to qualify this as a review. Don't worry; if you know me, you know there's more to come.
From a 750 into a snifter
APPEARANCE: A clear black pour yields a two finger, looser looking, foamy, light tan head with decent retention. Head fades to a full foamy cap and clings to the sides of the glass a bit. Clear black body with no real carbonation evident. A splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving some dots of lacing down the glass. Looks alright I guess.
SMELL: Oak, sweet cream, milk chocolate vanilla and some bourbon on the nose. Strong enough but not overly interesting.
TASTE: This falls flat, unfortunately. Metallic beginning, with perfume, oak and alcohol. Boozy swallow with bourbon, alcohol, perfume and wood. Touches of milk chocolate and vanilla try desperately to add something useful, but too little too late. This is all perfume and wood lingering unwelcomely.
PALATE: Thinner body and lower levels of carbonation. A bit watery on the palate, goes down prickly, oddly enough, with a burn at the back and finishes sticky. Some heat lingers.
OVERALL: The nose was decent on this one, but the taste was flat and the feel was all over the place. Watery, prickly, boozy, and most certainly too alcoholic for the ABV. I will admit that Three Floyds has always been hit or miss with me, with mostly misses, but I can't imagine anyone finding this half-way palatable. Cheers as always dude! Please don't send me any more of this...
EDIT: Apparently this is a Municipal Waste beer. Now it all makes sense.

Really underwhelming. A nice nose for a BA oatmeal stout, but it goes down hill from there. Barrel and a watery stout with not much else. The cocao really didn't come through well.
