From tasting notes. A lot of Irish reds are inoffensive beers brewed for those who for some odd reason do not like a proper pint of stout. They are OK but not great. This one is different. It pours hazy reddish amber under a 1” fairly persistent cream colored fluffy foam collar that provides intricate lace. Floral grassy hop aromas rise from the glass and the hops – more spicy and herbal on the tongue, rule. The biscuit malt provides light sweetness and traces of caramel. The hops, provide character and depth. The body is medium and the carbonation medium low. The beer is excellent and full of flavor.
