Pours a hazy rich orange/amber copper color with more than a finger of an off-white head.

Aroma is really intense. Tons of stanky dankness, juicy pineapple, and grapefruit. I also get smaller doses of pine resin, tangerine, and mango. There's a nice sugary sweetness and very light toastiness coming from the malt, but it's barely there. It's all intense and vibrant hops.

Taste is also dominated by a big herbaceous dankness and juicy pineapple. The grapefruit is also there along with tangerine, papaya, and mango. It dries out nicely into the finish and brings with it a huge pine resin bitterness. Despite the intense hops, it stays balanced with a sugary/carmel sweetness that makes the beer extremely juicy when combined with the fruity hops. There's also some very slight toast as well from the overshadowed malt. Tastes like hop juice.

Medium body. Smooth and creamy with an oily and slightly sticky finish.

In true FFF style, this is one intensely hopped american amber. Despite all of it's insane hoppiness, it does have a refined balance to it. Like most of their beers, this is a winner for any hophead.

I recently had this beer at the FFF's brew pub on tap and out of bomber in my car as I waited to be seated. I had 3 minutes to get in after I received my text message that my table was available. I digress. The beer was smooth. I get a thick, full beer when I first taste it. Easy drink ability. Idk what I'm taking about. It's a fucking good beer.

Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Three Floyds pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber red. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of off white head that settles into a thin creamy layer.

Smell: A dank and juicy hop forward aroma with a scent of grass, citrus, and caramel. Earthy hop scent of grass and cannabis. Citrus hop hints of grapefruit, orange, tangerine, and mango. Malt scent of caramel, grains, biscuit, and toast with some yeast. A very nice aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, an earthy and juicy hop forward taste with notes of grass, citrus, and caramel. Earthy hop notes of grass and pine resin. Citrus hop notes of grapefruit, orange peel, tangerine, and mango. Malt notes of caramel, biscuit, toast, and grains along with yeast. A really good taste.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy and oily with a drying finish.

Overall: A very good Red Ale. Big ripe hop presence with a good caramel malt backing.

P: Slightly hazy, thick foamy 3 finger white head. Thick white lacing on the glass and the surface of the beer.
A: Pine, resin, citrus
T: Flavours galore. First thing is pine resin then mellows out with grapefruit then tangerine. A hint of floral.
M: Well carbonated, sharp, great balance and medium bodies.
O: Not really getting a red here to much citrus and pine. More like an IPA. None the less, a very well made beer and another gem from FFF.

Amber in color, not much head or lacing. Smell is slighty dank floral with fruitiness and lots of citrus with a sweet caramel malt. Taste similar but with much more dank floral notes then the nose. I'm not sure who FFF is kidding here, cause this isn't a traditional amber ale. It's an IPA with slightly sweeter caramel malt then their typical IPAs but its actually really well done and I like it as much, if not more then many of their others. Got that same awesome floral resin that so many FFF beers have.

Poured into a snifter.
A - Pours a solid amber color with 1 inch of white head.
S - The aroma is hoppy and big citrus.
T - The citrus aroma does not transfer to the flavor. Some grapefruit but mostly caramel malt and bitterness.
M - Medium carbonation and moth feel.
O - A very good beer but that great aroma does not follow thru in the taste.

I was pleased with this overall. Very aggressively hopped, maybe even a little too much but still very good. I would have liked a little more malt coming through for an amber but like I said, this is nitpicking its a good beer.
