Very nice IPA, clean and crisp, another winner from the great 3 Floyds. No date printed on bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a little foamy white head and some spotty lingering lacing. Smells of nice crisp tangerine, mango, pineapple, grapefruit and lemon zest hops. Also some malt, vanilla, herbal hops and bread. Taste follows the nose, great balance and flavor, good depth and complexity. Flavorful and easy to drink. Smooth mild mouthfeel, slightly sticky, good carbonation. Very enjoyable.

L: Pale yellow gold dogs the glass a well-retained thin ivory head has sticky

S: Complex notes of pine resin, lemon-lime, peach, and grapefruit, light biscuit, lilac, and peppercorns.

T: Off-dry with a drier and more bitter finish. The taste is mostly on the lime and peach notes.

F: Lighy-medium bodied, smooth but highly carbonated.

O: Better than the overrated Zombie Dust.

Pours a glowing peach color with a rocky, long lasting head. Lemon and orange hops abound in the aroma. The taste is a dense tangle of citrus and tropical hop notes with a light malt presence in the back. Medium to high carbonation and a nice hop oil coating in the mouthfeel. High bitterness and loads of lingering fruitiness in the long finish.

A standout IPA from an OG hoppy beer producer. Complex and quaffable.

Pours a hazy apricot yellow with a thick white head. Decent retention and lacing. Aroma is melon and citrus. Flavor follows the nose, sweet up front and nice little dank hop bite in the finish. Feel is bright crisp. Overall a decent enough beer.

Strong aroma and flavor of orange but bitter like a proper IPA. Lacks much else besides the hops and is rather boring in addition to not really being a fan of those hops.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Bottled 9/27/19, so less than 2 months old.

Pale golden yellow body with good streams of carbonation. Decent bubbly white head which persists in some form throughout leaving some nice lacing

On the nose, it's hoppy, a touch of lemon, and even a little catty.

Great balance here. Solid slightly sweet malt background. Bittering hops are not overly strong. A clean tasting beer

Mouth closer to full than medium. Finish a warming sweet bitterness.

Overall, a really good solid no frills IPA. Happy to have another 5 in the fridge.

Month-old bottle poured into a tulip.

Unique (for 3F) opaque, slightly hazy body (as advertised) with a nice orange-gold coloring and tight, fluffy head of tiny, compact bubbles. Very creamy looking. Solid, spotty lacing. 3F's hoppy beers are some of the prettiest around, and this one is right up there.

Aromas are modest but on point, very dank and grassy, with plenty of citrus and tropical fruit. Doughy and biscuity, with grapes and berries on the back end. Not a sock-blower, but very nice for what it is.

Definitely not an overly-juicy beer, but not packing a huge bitter wallop, either. There's a strong, green and mineral note that stands out, along with grapefruit, melon, white grape, resin, and cracker. Fairly sharp and pithy and quite dry. Pretty easy drinking because each sip is slightly different, but overall it's a little rough around the edges and the grapefruit rind vibe is strong.

Feel is medium-light but silky smooth. Perfect carbonation.

Pale yellow body, faintly hazy; beautiful gently rising carbonation; huge dense, rocky, and creamy head, sticky rings of foam cling to the glass. Softy sweet aroma with a pinch of lemon and lemon bread on the nose. Well-balanced flavors blending together light cereal grain, gentle fruity esters, and a medium touch of hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp with some fine coarseness on the palate; a bit of alcohol warmth; some sweetness but generally dry overall, especially at the finish.

Drinking this pale ale is a definite pleasure. The balance it brings is exemplary. It has superb looks and smell, and the taste and mouthfeel pleases in a no nonsense manner. Very nice.

Lacing – Good. Wide irregular band of tiny to medium bubbles. See also above.
Aroma – 4 – Light lemony hops.
Flavor – 4 – Begins slightly bitter with some lemony hop flavor and a slight malty aftertaste. No alcohol (7 % ABV) flavor or aroma, no dimethylsulfide, no diacetyl.

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a small patch o white bubbles around the edge of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of citrusy hops are present in the nose along with notes of herbal hops.
T: The taste has lots of flavors of citrusy hops - oranges and tangerines seem to stand out in particular - along with notes of herbal hops and hints of floral hops. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This IPA has an interesting mix of aromas and flavors from the hops. I also liked the crispness in the mouthfeel.

Review from notes taken while I consumed this beer on 9 5 19 at Winking Lizard in Mentor, Ohio. It was poured from tap into the "glass of the month" which is a labeled 3 Floyds LazerSnake glass. Cost of $7.95 (glass included).

Appearance. Very hazy light brown/yellow body under a one inch meringue like head that sticks around for several minutes. Love the unfiltered (?) hazy look as well as the color of the body and the head. Could not look better, really.

Smell. Muted hops, citrus evident in the smell. Pleasant although somewhat distant. Really draws me in.

Taste. Muted citrus and hops bitterness flows directly from the nose to the taste. Really, this tastes much like it smells (not always the case). That is a good thing here as I was intrigued from the smell and continue to be with the taste.

Mouthfeel. Nice silky smooth feel consistent with the hazy appearance. It is thick and chewy which I like as well.

Drinkability/overall. This is a very good beer for the style. No surprise from 3 Floyds which is quickly becoming a favorite brewery of mine.

Decent brew with a 7% AbV. I like more. Poured extremely cold from bottle to throat. Nice first taste, but looking for more hoppy grassy taste. Bought a six pack of 12oz.ers. After three I could begin to appreciate what was going on. Hints of fruit on the finish, but still not hoppy enough for me. Good brew made in Indianan so a true IPA. Not as citrusy as Voodoo ranger, but not far behind. Still lobe Bells Two Hearted Ale

12 ounce bottle

Medium hazed pour leaving fine low sheeting.

Resin and oranges on the nose.

On the palate it’s old school IPA as the base w a bit of juicy modern orange notes mixed in. Underwhelming..

Pours a hazy straw color with a finger of head. The nose has citrus notes with a trace of dankness. The flavor profile has some pine notes with an average bitter finish.

I am a bit baffled by Three Floyds style classification system. Their IPAs taste like APAs and their APAs taste like IPAs.

L: Lightly hazed straw colored. 1 minute post-pour has a flat head, and sparse lacing.
S: Pine, citrus, light tropical.. and lightly dank.
T: Tropical, pine and very light citrus. Light resinous flavor. Slight melon?
F: Fairly carbonated. A fair amount of bitterness, with late back bite. Malts come in, but are weak.
O: Good flavors.. but sort of blah for a 7%.

12 oz bottle which is being tested in the East. Poured into Ocelot IPA glass.

L: 2F head, poor retention, only spots of lacing and a ring. Beer is a slightly hazy copper.

S: Citrus, somewhat tropical. No age on bottle but malts definitely have moved forward here. A bit yeasty and musty.

T: Malt-forward, but some hints of orange, mango, melon remain. Very slightly bitter finish.

F: Mediumish body and moderately carbonated. Balance and construction are pretty good.

O: I get the sense this is better on tap and fresh. It's decent, but IPAs are fragile and 3 Floyd in particular.

Bottled 9/26/16; drank 10/8/16 @ the Yarchives.

Semi-opaque bright orange appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE bright white head; a thick curtain of lace.

Watermelon jolly rancher, pine & cane sugar notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel.

Watermelon jolly rancher & cane sugar flavors up front; dry pine notes on the finish.

Not for me.

Can't say I bought this just because it's 3 Floyds the cover art looks BAD ASS! Like an album cover from the 80's Good! It's a great tasting run of the mill super clean tasting bitter IPA under the surface. Three Floyd's doesn't disappoint!

On tap, surprisingly only good and not great looks, this has an above average citrus and malt nose combo but nice flavor and balance. Tangerine, orange juice, lemon zest and grapefruit take up most of the flavor profile with biscuit and toasted grains propping it up as the malty base. Ridiculously smooth and easy to drink with perfect bitterness and a nice dry finish that has grapefruit and orange peel lingering.

Had LazerSnake poured from 12-oz. bottle, stamped “28 6 113973A,” into tulip pint.

This is a very interesting beer, according to the label, “a good old fashioned Indiana Pale Ale” brewed with “special Bavarian hops.” Apparently an Indiana Pale Ale is a West Coast IPA brewed with Noble hops.

L: bronze/straw yellow in color. About a finger and half of head with decent amounts of lacing.
S: somewhat muttled. Very malty and someone one deminsional in regards to smell. The more of a nose I get, I can get some citrus character, predominantly grapefruit, but it is minimal.
T: More citrus in flavor than on the nose, with orange and grapefruit being the majority. However, there is a definite biscuit/bread like feature in the flavor. Flavor is somewhat dull as well.
F: best part of this beer. Medium in body and weight. Moderate carbonation and nice heft. Very smooth.
O: somewhat disappointed by this, but I’m still grateful I tried. It isn’t bad by any means, but I wish it had more of a hop profile to balance out the breadyness. Cheers!

Disappointing for 3 Floyds. Flavor has some nice fruity elements up front but is overpowered by dull heaviness overall. Not enough balance with the bitterness. Feel didn't help the general lack of luster in this one for me. Drank from the bottle.
