Poured from a bottle into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a small head of tan foam. The head fades quickly, leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is rich of a roasted malt and cocoa smell mixed with dark chocolate cocoa nibs and notes of molasses and brown sugar. Along with these smells comes tons of coffee and come crème as well as vanilla and a bit of herbal and earthy hop. A touch of smoke and char round out the aroma, producing a very roasty smell overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a smooth roasted and toasted malt flavor that is paired with a big showing of coffee and cocoa nibs. There is a moderate showing of sweetness upfront, with flavors of molasses, brown sugar, and caramel. There is also some sweet crème and a bit of vanilla upfront as well, with these later flavors getting a bit more potent as the taste advances forward. At the same time a bit of the char that was in the nose comes to the tongue, with some wood and earthy hop joining in as well. The sugary sweet tastes ramp up toward the end of the flavor transition, leaving one with a rather smooth, roasty, and very sweet, coffee with crème taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather creamy and smooth with a lower carbonation level. For the rich flavors and dessert nature of the brew the feel is fantastic making for a nice dessert style brew.
Overall – A quite nice and very flavorful and robust milk stout with a big coffee and roastiness. A bit on the overly sweet side, but enjoyable none the less.

I should expect now that anything from Three Floyds is going to have noticeable hops. Normally that’s not a bad thing but in an oatmeal/lactose stout, it’s rather startling.
Poured stout black with a good inch of tan head which, curiously left no lacing.
The aroma was lost on my Covid damaged nose.
The taste was, as mentioned above, almost great but those hops stick out and, IMO anyway, don’t add too the flavor in a positive way.
The feel is just good- the lactose and oatmeal both contribute to the smoothness.
OA, when I want a Milk Stout, I don’t want hops featured. But it was still pretty darn good.

I'm not sure how accurate my review will be. Because the beer is about seven months old. Still delicious, and maybe some of the hops got buried with the aging. I'd love to try this fresh cause... It's a d*** good tasting beer nonetheless.

12oz bottle. Etched on bottle neck is 'BOTTLED 01-16 23'.
Black colored body, with thin red mahogany back lit edge. Thin brown head upon pouring quickly fizzes away. No lacing.
Aroma of milk sugar, roasted malts, and chocolate.
Taste is a hit of herbal hops and then the sweet chocolate malts and lactose.
Medium mouth feel, with a smooth and creamy texture. ABV% is well hidden. Good carbonation.
Wonderful mix of hops, roasted oats, lactose, and chocolate. So smooth to drink. Tempting to session two or three.

One thing I can say that agrees with what I've read in other reviews- this bee hides its alcohol better than any I've had. A nice, smooth Stout with an opening hop touch that kid of surprised me.

Pours a dark brown color with less than a finger of head. The nose has some roasted bitterness but prickly hoppiness is more prominent than the roast. The roastiness is also upfront in the flavor profile but it is not bold by any means. If I did not know that this was an 8 percenter, I would peg the abv to be closer to 5-6% based upon the roast profile and the heartiness.
