First had poured from 22-oz. bomber into faceted pint mug. An early (the earliest?) milk stout to shatter the traditional ABV limit for the style, this beer holds up well, and reveals its 8.00 ABV only with a bit of warming in the finish.

Presentation: 22 oz. brown bottle with the bottling date printed on the neck, served in a nonic pint glass.

Appearance: Rich black with a one finger khaki colored head. Great lacing that covers the whole glass and sticks around.

Smell: Big milk chocolate and deep roasted malt scents. There's notes of coffee and cocoa as well.

Taste: Mainly roasted malt and milk chocolate with some vanilla and roasted coffee bean all in harmony with eachother and balanced very well. The balance between the sweetness and bitternes is just perfect.

Mouthfeel: Thick, creamy, smooth, rich and full bodied. Exactly what a stout should be all about. Average carbonation.

Overall: I love milk stouts and this is the finest example I've come across so far. On its own as a stout it's brilliant too. Definitely a must try for fans of the style or any beer lover in general.
