Bottle dated 10/23/18. GL tulip.
A: pours a slightly hazy orange with bits of tiny suspended sediment. Thin ring and skim of white head. Spotty lacing.
S: sweet tropical, with a grassy edge. Malt backbone makes itself known. Sweet.
T: mild hoppy arrival, crisp malt middle, a little watery/thin in flavor on the finish. Lingering lemon peel. Mild for 3 Floyds.
M: lighter side of medium, well carbonated. Very crisp.
O: a decent, well executed, mild tropical IPA. Not knocking my socks off. Compared to middle finger and lazer snake, I’d put the snake first, then this, then middle finger. A perfectly executed American IPA.

Three Floyds Necron99 IPA.
7.3 % ABV. 61 IBU.
Three Floyds Brewing, Munster, IN.
Here it is, folks, the fourth Three Floyds beer to come over to Minnesota since their return a few months ago, and the first one that is wholly new to me. Gumball Head, Alpha King, Zombie Dust....I'd had them all before. Now what's this one all about?
Clouded, pale amber color, slim white head.
In the nose: Bold citrus. Shy notes of other, sweeter fruits, creeping toward the tropical.
In the mouth: A brace of bitterness, matched with juicy. Tasty and bright. Long lasting bitterness on the palate. Medium bodied. Tropical tones match the citrus bite. Easy drinker.

Pours a light copper with a finger of head. The nose has mild citrus notes and an earthy tone as well. The flavor has a nice maltiness for a contemporary IPA. The bitter finish is not so much a punch as a push that reminds the palate that this is still an American version of an IPA.

Decent offering from 3 Floyds. A solid IPA all around and I'm glad that I picked up 6. 3 Floyds is starting to become one of my go to brewerys when it comes to great beer!

This was a nice beer, not one of their greatest IPAs but still enjoyable nonetheless. No date printed on bottle. Pours a lighter golden color with a little fluffy white head and some minimal spotty lingering lacing. Smells of fresh pineapple, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine and a little melon. Also some weaker malt, vanilla, bread and floral hops. Tastes similarly, decent balance between the very mildly bitter hops and sweeter malt backbone. Smooth, mild slightly thin mouthfeel with good carbonation. A decent IPA but likely won’t buy it again since 3 Floyds has so many other outstanding pale ales.

L: Hazy gold-orange with a forever ivory cap and lovely lines of lacing.
S: Candied pine resin!
T: Simple but better than the nose.
F: Bitey carbonation on a light to medium body. Bittersweet.
O: Very good again. 3 Floyd’s are masters of creating variety in the west coast style.

5oz pour at the brewery.
Pours brassy and clear with a big head and nice carbonation. Fresh, clean, floral and fruity smell. Taste is mostly west coast. Pine, resin -- but has a little fruit in it somewhere.
