Style: American IPA

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 7.00%

Notes / Commercial Description:
This beer is brewed during the hop harvest with a portion of unkilned or “wet” hops fresh off the vine. Apricot in color, Broo Doo’s nose has dominant orange, pine sap and floral notes, balanced by a glazed nut and toffee malt body. This celebration of the hop harvest has intense tropical fruit, citrus and spicy accents that showcase the complexity of the hops we all love.

bomber. about 3 weeks old.

pours a light copper color with a nice head. smell is insanely hoppy with fruity notes. OMG! taste starts out with fruity hops and ends with just amazingness...so good. medium bodied, mild carbonation.

overall an amazing fucking beer. thoroughly recommended.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass

A- Pours an apricot that is pretty clear and has a big white head the dissipates rather quickly.

S- Bitter orange peel, some pine and a backing mild toasty malt.

T- Bitterness, lemony bitterness, toasty malt. Similar to nose but bigger.

M- Good solid medium mouthfeel not too carbed

O- I'm not sure when this was bottled but being a seasonal it shouldn't be that old. Having said that I don't think I'm getting all the hops other reviewers seem to be getting. The citrus notes are there just not as big as I thought they'd be, wish I hadn't waited 3 weeks to drink it. Comparing this to Founders Harvest, I prefer Founders with it's lighter malt character that let the hops come through. Still a great beer and 3Floyds continues to impress me with their quality.

Bottle poured into teku glass
A- pours orange, clear, with a two finger white head
S- pine, citrus fruit, earthy,I get hints of basil and mint as well
T- very refreshing, plenty of citrus fruit, pine resin, pleasantly grassy, wet hops, some strawberry, bubblegum, some honey
M- very very nice, light texture, good carbonation
O- I didn't find any of this last year so I'm really glad I got a bottle, probably one of my new favorite IPAs from FFF, this is refreshing, light texture, tons of flavor, a truly amazing harvest ale.
