22oz bottle with no freshness date. This is obviously a September release, but FFF should still start dating their bottles. A brewery that does SO many hoppy beers, and doesn't bottle date!?

Pours copper-orange in color and has a slight haze to it. Head is white in color and has settled to a thin and spotty lace after about 5 minutes. Plenty of carbonation bubbles floating up towards the head. Pretty good head retention, but the lacing eventually makes it's way back down the glass.

Smell is malty, bready, and grain heavy. I'm also detecting some sweetness. On point for the style.

Taste: Malt and grain up front accompanied by a touch of sweetness. Hops provide a little bitterness, but not much. Maybe they're more prominent when fresh? Finish is smooth, rounded and quite clean.

Medium-full body with moderate carbonation.

A nice Oktoberfest overall.

Morey's Bottom Line: This is only my 2nd beer from Three Floyds, and it's definitely a good representation of the style. I'm not sure why, but as good as it is, I was expecting a bit more. Still not too far behind Great Lakes and Barktoberfest.

22oz bomber.

A- Pours a light copper color with a thick white foam head that leaves good lacing.

S- Light toasted bread and caramel malt coming through in the nose.

T- Very clean flavor with plenty of malt sweetness in the finish. A touch of toffee and caramel malt and some spice.

M- Medium bodied with the higher ABV but still light and crisp. Good carbonation.

O- A very solid representation of the style. Maybe a touch pricey at $8.99/22oz bomber though.

Amber/copper color, 1 finger of head that dissipates quick,no lacing. Smells like wheat, bread, slight pumpkin, corn, rice. Tastes basically like it smells, with some banana in there. Mouth feel is light to medium, alc is covered, and it has a lager aftertaste (bready. Banana).overall this is a great oktoberfest, one of the best of the style that ive had.

Poured from a 22oz bomber into a Duvel tulip. Received in a trade with rfraga77.

A: Hazy copper color, mildly aggressive pour leads to a fluffy white head at 1 finger disappears pretty quickly. Lacing is spotty but present.

S: Yeast hits my nose first, very hefty bouquet for a Marzen with clove, cinnamon, and caramel malts. Very nice malt base. Hops are not very prominent.

T: Follows the nose pretty well. Nice bisquity flavor with the bready malts hitting first and foremost. Hops come through here slightly along with the clove that showed up in the nose.

M: Ample carbonation, medium low. Sticky malt mouthfeel leaves me wanting more.

O: A very very nice Oktoberfest. Probably the best Oktoberfest I've had. A really good drinking beer.
