Pours a cloudy dark copper color with amber edges and a one finger off-white head that quickly settles into a lasting ring. Sporadic streaks and spots of lacing left behind.
Slightly herbal and surprisingly hop forward aroma with resinous, grassy pine needle along with leathery malt, sweet booze and dark fruit notes. Slightly earthy with a floral, grassy hop presence followed by leathery malt, caramel, toffee, fig, raisin and alcohol.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with a balance of dry, earthy hops, leathery malt and dark fruit. The hop presence is still pretty strong but it's a bit stale with prominent resinous bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes into a bone dry finish. This is countered mid-palate by earthy, leathery malt and dark fruit sweetness. Hints of plum, raisin and fig followed by some sweet, boozy heat. Slight warmth in the finish but the high ABV is relatively well masked.

I acquired this 10th Anniversary beer through trade. Very happy I was able to pull this off! Poured from 650ml bottle into a tulip glass. I absolutely love the LCD-laced label! Pours burnt orange along with a medium white head that dissipates into very thin lacing that seldomly lasts throughout. I kept in mind that this beer has been in existence since 2007. Aroma is mysterious. Picking up some barleywine kind of aromatics like the Oatgoop beer.I pick up some lemon/orange zest and oat in the flavors. Thin to medium mouthfeel with decent carbonation. This brew did show it’s age and wish I had it fresh! Sure glad to had tried it in any case.
