L: Poured into a snifter - thick and jet black, with a small dark brown head.
S: Straight bourbon on the nose, it smelled very boozy. I was initially worried that the barrel would cover up the rest of the flavors in this, I was wrong...
T: Unbelievable. A small hint of the base Dark Lord sweetness that quickly transitions into dark chocolate, bourbon, and roasted marshmallows. The ABV is very well hidden by all of the great flavors in this beer, and every sip kept me wanting more.
F: Very thick mouth feel, that leaves a syrupy, almost candy-like stickiness on your lips and the glass.
O: Easily one of the best beers I've ever had - the hype is real! It was absolutely perfect.

L: Pours jet black with tiny head that fades away quickly.
S: Unbelievable how they pack this much marshmallow aroma in this beer. After the marshmallow blast you get bourbon and barrel.
T: At first sip it's like you dipped a marshmallow in bourbon then you get the barrel on the back end. This is a legitimately "big" beer. So much going on.
F: Perfectly thick and syrupy.
O: I can't believe that Dark Lord can be turned into this. One of my favorite beers of all time.

Fantastic... great bourbon and vanilla aroma...pours dark and drinks like a night ender, but is surprisingly smooth. Bottle 95 of 612... well worth the wait!!!

Yep, fantastic. Just as good as Derivation 6 with a great finish. This is not much of a revelation but this is the best Dark Lord variant made. Lives up to the hype.

It doesn't get much better than this. Big bourbon nose, but pillowly marshmallow softness on the tongue. Tastes like chocolate dipped marshmallows that were soaked in the finest bourbon. Don't know how they turned the much maligned Dark Lord into something of this quality, but this is worth the hype and then some. Downed 2/3 of the bottle myself! What a treat!
