I had this one at the FFF brewpub on 5/2/2009.

A= This ale poured a very pale straw-yellow color with a 3/4" white head. The head settled slowly and left a great amount of lace behind on my glass.

S= The aroma was all hops with loads of pine and a fair bit of citrusy grapefruit too. Faint malts in the background.

T= Very thin malt base provided just a hint of biscuit sweetness up front then the huge hop bill crashed in and bittered everything in sight. More pine than grapefruit but certainly some of both. Finish was watery and astringent.

MF= Thin bodied with a very crisp carbonation feel.

D= Despite being a bit thin and astringent, this was still a very drinkable ale.

A- Pours golden yellow color with a white head. The head has good retention and left a great amount of lacing.

S- Smells of hops (piney and citrus) with a touch of malts in there as well.

T- Tastes is nice and piney hops. Some citrus hops in there as well. Just a tiny touch of malts.

M- A bit on the thin side and nice carbonation.

D- Pretty easy to drink. The menu says it is made from the second runnings of Dreadnaught.

From the website:

"We are now the Alpha and Omega. This is another 'small beer' made from the second runnings of Dreadnaught. an intensely floral and hoppy session beer, Cheers! 65 IBU 5% a.b.v."

Pours like a light, golden IPA. Nice haze, nice head, but nothing really exceptional.

Smells like dreadnaught only less cloying. Huge grapefruit hops, lemons, ammonia, and thick malt.

Tastes like dreadnaught up front and water in the back. Hmm... can't exactly complain about that, but more than anything this just makes me want to drink a Dreadnaught.
