From bottle to nonic pint. Bottled 12/28/2013.

A. Pours a mostly clear, straw gold color. Very slightly cloudy and with a half finger of plain white head. Lacing is tight and consistent.

S. Biscuit, lavender, grass, honey, light pine.

T. Mild pineapple sweetness/tropical notes, zesty herbs, cracker, grass and pine on the finish.

M. It starts with some light, tropical, sweet hop notes, then fades into a malty breadiness with some darker fruit flavors, then with a high dry finish with some pine bitterness. It's crisp, but not necessarily light...I'd say light-moderate bodied, with flavor sufficient to chew on a bit but not moving it completely out of the "refreshing" category.

O. This is a very very very good Dortmunder. A little too sweet and tropical for the style, but very enjoyable nonetheless. Provides a flavorful experience and satisfying dry finish while still being reasonably light on its feet. If you're someone who appreciates the lager side of the beer spectrum, this should be on your wish list. One of the better American Dortmunders out there.

Bottled 5/20. Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow with a 3 finger, soapy white head which disapears pretty quick.

Smells of lager yeast, fresh grains, fairly sweet.

Initial crisp bite with a floral hint that reminds you of a pilsner, but it fades fast into sweet biscuit/crackers. Malts are pale and light. Tons of fresh grain flavors and some bready yeast follows. Sweet and very smooth aftertaste.

Body is light. Very easy drinking. Slightly sparkly, but average carbonation overall.

An excellent lager that is very clean tasting and light bodied, yet full of flavor.

Got this as an extra in a trade

The beer is very transparent with a straw yellow colored with a thick white head the laces well. The coronation is visible it looks like a beer you'd see in documentary.

The nose is subtle german hops slightly spicy and backed with light malts.

The taste matches the nose although the malt is up front sweet the becomes a very subtle hop spicy slightly earthy. The mouth is smooth and sticky at the end.

A solid beer

Golden hued with a tightly knit half inch off white head. Brussels lacing. Aroma of light bready grains and Dortmunder yeast is present. The flavor is packed with sourdough bready grains and gentle lager yeast. The mouth is fairly dry, quaffable, and crisp.

Thanks dannyfrost!

Clear golden yellow and orange with a thin vanilla ice cream colored head. Spots of lacing left down the glass.

The aroma is a simple combination of freshly baked bread, dry biscuits, grass, and a bit of floral hops.

Limited hop flavor though moderately bitter along with simple though pleasant grain and bread character. There's also an underlying grass and floral flavor rounding things out nicely.

Medium mouthfeel, disappearing--crisp and refreshing.

A good, incredibly drinkable, Dortmunder lager. This would be great outdoors at a ballgame on a hot day.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Three Floyds pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a slight finger of white head that settles into a thin creamy patch.

Smell: A crisp and bready malt forward aroma with a scent of biscuit and spicy hops. Upfront malt scent of biscuit, grains, cracker, caramel, and straw with some yeast. Floral and earthy hints of noble hops with some spice and grass. A very solid Pilsner aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a crisp and bready malt forward taste with notes of biscuit and noble hops. Crisp upfront malt notes of biscuit, grains, cracker, straw, and caramel along with lager yeast. Floral and earthy noble hop presence with notes of grass and spice. A very nice crisp taste.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and very smooth.

Overall: A pretty good take on a German style light lager. Good balance of crisp biscuit malt and noble hop notes.
