Beautiful clear golden straw color with a thick white head and sparse bubbles rising slowly to the surface. Leaves thick rings of lacing on the glass.
A malt-forward aroma, with no hops to speak of, but a little white pepper in the background.
Clean-tasting, again with the sweet malt flavor most pronounced, while still fairly crisp, and a little spiciness on the back end.
Great beer for a spring day.

Bottled 5/20. Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow with a 3 finger, soapy white head which disapears pretty quick.
Smells of lager yeast, fresh grains, fairly sweet.
Initial crisp bite with a floral hint that reminds you of a pilsner, but it fades fast into sweet biscuit/crackers. Malts are pale and light. Tons of fresh grain flavors and some bready yeast follows. Sweet and very smooth aftertaste.
Body is light. Very easy drinking. Slightly sparkly, but average carbonation overall.
An excellent lager that is very clean tasting and light bodied, yet full of flavor.

A- Pours a crystal clear golden color with a nice white head. Head has good retention and leaves some really nice layered lacing.
S- Smell is pretty grainy and bready. With a touch of floral hops. Maybe Noble hops I'm not sure.
T- I went into this one with pretty much no expectations and this one was pretty solid. Taste is very bready, caramel malts, and hops in the rear. Not nearly as hop forward as other Three Floyds beers. A nice taste of apples and grapes in here as well. A very solid brew for sure.
M- Lighter side of medium and good amount of carbonation.
O- Very easy to drink and I wish I had some more of this one.

Picked up the bottle at FFF, no code dating, but batch is freshly released. Into the Samuel Adams perfect pint glass, while listening to Mumford & Sons (can't get this stuff out of my cd player!)
A - Rich straw-colored body, with less head than expected from a hard pour. Some lacing on the clean glass, with a bit less head retention than expected.
S - Pilsner malt sweetness is much more present than I expected from a FFF brew, with maybe just a hint of huskiness. Sulfur and metallic aromas help keep the aroma crisp, complimented by balanced (by American Standards... way to much hops for a BJCP program) amount of hops that express spice, resin, and bitter orange qualities.
T - Again, one gets a pretty assertive malt profile, but one more suited for a pilsener than a Dortmunder/Export. The hop profile is quite enjoyable, with much more of that herbal hop present one would expect from this style. The very dry, clean finish makes this brew fantastically quaffable.
M - This beer does have one of those great lager bodies, not watery, not overwhelming, but nice a "round". Carbonation was enough to clean the burger with salsa off my tongue and get it ready for the salad that followed, but it didn't feel like soda.
D - This is a fantastic lager, just a bit miss-categorized. It, like Flywheel from Metropolitan, is not quite a Dortmunder, not quite a Pils. It is, more importantly, a fantastically made lager: clean, refreshing, quaffable. It's price-point is probably it's worst characteristic. At $8 a bottle it's a bit much for a session beer, but if you can get it on draft, grab it, lager brewing at it's best.
