Had this poured into a pint glass. Color is a slightly translucent straw yellow with some slight sticky white head. Flavor and aroma were both pretty weak, even for the genre...some slight bready aftertaste but not much. Mouthfeel was fuller than most, which was nice. Not my favorite.

If you take it for style, over-hopped but not bad. If you take it as a stand-alone beer, skunky and over-hopped. Not my favorite from 3 floyds. But I do like this lager style in general.

I'm going to be a bit of an outlier in my love for this beer, but so be it! I have had this in bottles, and I had it on draft at the 3F brewpub last night (May 28, 2016).

I really think 3F has cleverly squared the circle with this lager: it's classic yet highly distinct in style. In color it's a rich gold. It's got some nice, herbal hops on the nose. On the palate, it has classic lager smoothness and body with just the right amount of hops so as not to veer off into extremity. Yet the hop profile has that ineffable 3D quality that really sets 3F apart. Even just by breathing in the nose, you can tell this is a 3F beer.

3F is rightfully known for its hoppy ales; it's one of the best IMHO. Yet they also do lagers cleverly as well, which is no mean feat: Hopped in Half, Crescendo of Doom, and Fantasmo are all interesting, fun, enjoyable beers. But my favorite 3F lager is indeed Jinx Proof, which is the only lager they have in six packs. This one is definitely worth a try.

Looks incredibly clear in the glass. Golden with 2 finger soapy head. Smells a bit skunky. Green apples, almost farmhouse smell. The taste is more of a peppery, taste up front. Bitter hop bite, not quite too much, but kind of too much. Light Apple again. Refreshing. Nice carbonation inviting more drinks.Overall for a light refreshing lager it falls a little short of some other pilsners/ light lagers. Heck I'd maybe get a high life instead. This def has more flavor, but not all flavors go perfectly together.

Bottled on 12/15/15:

I was really excited to try this beer, as this is not a common style, but one that I really like. The beer was described by the others, very nice color and clarity, good feel but for me...for the style, this beer was way too over hopped. I guess, I expect to much...please tone back the hops.
