12oz bottle from 6-pack purchased at the brewery two days ago. No bottle dating.

Clear, pale gold elixir poured in SA glass. One finger, thick, white head, tiny bubbles, heavy lacing.

Lemon zest, caramel, biscuit malt.

Well balanced, malt forward and a nice hop backbone. Lingering sweet bitterness.

Light, crisp, smooth. Refreshing.

More of a classic representation of the style. Not much of a 3Floyds' twist on this one, but a quality brew just the same.

Tasted in a Spiegelau lager glass from a 12 oz bottle on August 12, 2013. Look is clear straw yellow with a thick white head and lingering lacing. Smell is spice and lightly sweet malt aromas. Taste is sweet malts with spice and earth flavors. Feel is smooth, light in body and a somewhat dry finish.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours burnt golden with a slight haze; huge fluffy white head that sticks around and leaves great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are full of caramel malts. There are also hints of chocolate, surprisingly, but I like it. Lots of bread notes in the flavors and aromas. Flavors are loaded with caramel and butterscotch. Lots of malts and very grainy. Earthy flavors. Finishes dry for the most part along with a subtle spicy kick. Mouthfeel is wonderful. It's extremely creamy and fluffy with active carbonation. Although this is ultimately a light beer, it sure doesn't feel like it. This is a smooth and refreshing beer. Well done.

This beer is awesome. It's a meat and potatoes kind of beer. This is doesn't exactly remind me of a pilsener or a Dortmunder/Export, but I don't hold that against this beauty. It's a very unique lager. Oddly enough, it kind of reminded me of an Irish Red Ale. Well crafted and extremely enjoyable.
