Three Floyds Arctic Panzer Wolf

10 oz tapper at Benno's in West Allis, WI. Served chilled...

A) Golden Amber... Small head fizzled to a dusting. Nice amount of lacing. Nice looking brew...

S) Zesty citrus aroma, white grapefruit in particular. Pleasant tropical fruit aroma comes through as well.

T) The nose finds a balance of bitterness and sweetness. The taste isn't quite as balanced, but it is bitterly delightful. Citrus rind and sharp pine. Just a little hint of green onion. A little wave of sweetness to close. The alcohol is was very well hidden.

M) Medium body with moderate carbonation. Bitterness coats the palate, leaving you needing another sip pronto. Nice finish....

O) Highly enjoyable... Glad to have it on tap. I still prefer Dreadnaught, and Permanent Funeral, but this was damn good too.

Pours a mostly clear straw blond with good carbonation. Two to three fingers of white fluffy head and excellent retention and decent lacing.

Smell is hops galore. Very good citrus smell, and a bit of pine and earthiness.

Taste is bitter hoppiness up front, getting smoother in the back. Lots of grapefruit and a lot of earthy hoppiness.

Closer to the full bodied side. Very drinkable for 9%, hides alcohol well.

Solid beer. Thanks for the trade Hombrepalo
